[Contest] Best concept for a skill idea for Path of Exile gets a key! [Closed]

Skill Name: Summon Spikes
Target: AoE
Description: After a 3-second channeling time spikes are summoned in the target AoE radius that deals a burst of initial base damage and bleeding damage-over-time thereafter (can be ice or earth spikes).
Visuals: Earth - spikes come from underground to impale enemies. Ice - spikes are formed from mist.
Sounds: Self-explanatory.

Skill name: Rock Toss
Target : skill shot, aoe, enemy
Description: after a very short delay the player throws a large bolder at the target location knocking over and stunning enemy's at location and dealing damage. this skill would be a strength skill adding a little ranged power to a heavy melee character

Skill name: Touch of the Death
Target: AOE around the caster
Description: Casting causes the dead to reach out from their graves under ground and hold the enemies in place. Also causes fear in the target which reduces defense temporarily. Flying targets would be immune.
Visuals: Little hands with various levels of decay reach up and grab the ankles of the enemies and the ground cracking around the hands.
Sound: The sound of water splashing, earth cracking, splitting or rubble moving depending on the ground.


Actually this skill could be based on location, so if you were in an area with marble or steel flooring, the skill would be completely useless, but if you were in the middle of a bog the zombie could jump all of the way out of the water and completely restrain the target for a few seconds.
Skill name: Drain Shield
Target: Single Enemy
Description: When cast, applies a Drain Shield on the target, functions as an energy shield for the enemy until depleted. Upon depletion applies a percentage based debuff to the targets highest offensive statistic (Physical Damage, Attacks Per Second, or Critical Strike Rating)
Visuals: Your characters hands come up, swooping opposite ways in circles (while building up the cast) before pushing straight out from their chest. A dark purple beam shoots towards the enemy, engulfing them from head to toe in a billowy purple cloud. Once it has hit the monster and the cloud has engulfed them, the cloud leaves and what is left is a see through shield formed by dark purple bars.
Sounds: While the hands are circling for the cast a low pulsating note drones in and out. ex. wuah wuah wuah (beginning soft on the wu building up to louder on the ua and becoming soft again on the ah) When the purple cloud disperses after casting and the dark purple bar shield comes up a quick, high, sharp sound occurs, sort of like a sword being drawn from a sheath.

- In reality it'd all look much darker, and be on a monster, the stage I tried to capture was the moment right before the billowy purple cloud was fully faded and the shield reveals itself.

Skill name: Charged Bayonet

Target: Active Skill

Description: Fires a magically enchanted arrow with 100% weapon damage that pierces all the enemies in it's path, planting charges in every enemy it hits that will detonate after 3 seconds in a small radius for 30% weapon damage. If an enemy dies by a detonation, there will be a larger explotion for 700% weapon damage. Cooldown: 30 seconds to prevent spamming.

Visuals: Normal bow attack animation, more details in attached pictures.

Sounds: A deep magical sound effect to reinforce the raw power of the skill, small screen shakes with every detonation.

Skill name: Gamblers Fortune

Target: Single Target Enemy

Description: When cast, the character calls upon the ancient powers of luck itself. The target Enemy might be devastated in a mighty explosion, dealing a huge amount of aoe damage, might be damaged a little, might be debuffed (slowed, less damage resistance..) OR if unlucky the spell might backfire and damage you, or buff the enemy.

Visuals: The Character flips a coin and throws it towards the enemy.

Sounds: *coinflip* + explosion/buffwhooosh.
Skill name: Haunt

Target: Enemy

Description: Summons the last enemy that you have slain to come claim the soul of your current enemy.

Visuals: The body of your last normal sized enemy breaks out of the ground and grabs the legs of your enemy tearing it back underground.

Sounds: Cracking earthquake like sounds with the screams of a dying person.

Not in the contest, but felt the need to share a basic concept for a skill that should be in the game but isn't.

Skill name: Inferno

Target: Active Skill

Description: Shoots fire out in a small cone in front of caster. As long as skill key is held, the Inferno goes on. Uses MP every few seconds. AOE Radius: 5 Meters

Visuals: Cone shaped mound of fire starting from tip and outward come out of wand. The Inferno is of course the color of fire. (Red/Orange)

Sounds: A faint burning sound is heard for as long as you have the skill key held down.

* Damage Level: Weak, but is an ongoing skill, and is very useful for being held on an enemy.

The distance makes it hard for people to just 'sit and pray' making the Class OP, or skill OP. The player must be up close, and must be aimed correctly at the player to some extent. *
Skill name: Call to Nature

Target: AOE

Description: An AoE skill for the int/dex inclined, this skill calls forth a field of vines from the ground in a target area, ensnaring hostile targets within for a short time, dealing minimal DoT. Duration and Area of Effect scale with level, Dmg scales with Int. Perfect skill for the fragile ranged attacker or caster.

Visuals: Player glows green momentarily, as vines erupt from the ground at the feet of affected monsters, holding them in place.

Sounds: Nothing flashy, just some churning earth noises, and maybe the sound of a tightening, twisting cord....

Skill Name: Ionic Sphere

Target: Any enemy or group of enemies within the casting range.

Description: Launches a projectile of Ionic energy that explodes, causing any enemies within 5 meters to be sucked in towards the explosion point, and causing damage and rooting them in place for 5 seconds. As the skill levels up, damage, size of explosion, range, and root time increases.

Visuals: A crackling sphere of blue energy leaves the casters hands, travels a distance, and then explodes in a flash of blue crackling energy and creating a circle of blue crackling energy. Any monsters caught in the circle of energy are sucked in to the explosion/impact point, and are rooted there for a brief period of time.

Sounds: Crackling energy/lightning like sound.
