Flux says

Flux runs the diablo site over at over at diablo.incgamers.com

It seems like the D3 beta may start mid-late August, and while most of the news over there is about D3, Flux has always been supportive of other games as well.

He recently made a small blog post about other RPGs on the way

Elsewhere, the alpha test for Path of Exile http://pathofexile.com/ is continuing (I’ve been playing, but can’t really talk about it yet.) and the game is progressing very nicely, with big new patches full of bug fixes plus lots of added content/features rolling out almost weekly. The Templar, the fifth of the six character classes, was just revealed with a snazzy new gameplay movie that’s turned into a storytelling presentation by a gritty voice over narration.

You can check out a half dozen new high res PoE screenshots http://www.incgamers.com/Games/2680/Screenshots/path-of-exile/ that accompanied the Templar announcement, and view his new movie below http://playwire.videos.s3.amazonaws.com/58/video-20110711-12176-iphone.m4v. You can even get a high res 720px http://s3.amazonaws.com/pathofexile-video/templar/templar_720p_5882kbps.avi version of the movie, if you want to swing the download. Beta test signups for this upcoming free ARPG remain available; you’ve just got to create a forum account on the Path of Exile site.

Update: I should have mentioned that I interviewed the Path of Exile guys in person during their first press activities when they announced the game back in 2010. My very long write up http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/path-of-exiles-impressive-debut/ of the game can be seen in a post from then, and the full interview transcript http://www.incgamers.com/Interviews/292/grinding-gear-games-path-of-exile-interview-part-1 is on IncGamers in two parts http://www.incgamers.com/Interviews/293/grinding-gear-games-path-of-exile-interview-part-2.

Update #2: A gameplay movie with no narration/story/slow motion can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ufz1JTmdevM, if you want just gameplay action. These movies are accurate representations of what it looks/plays like, based on my alpha test experiences thus far.

Flux's recent post directed me here, so I'm thankful he offset Blizzard's fickle news flow with other games. Also, his in-depth interview, which is posted at incgamers.com, helped to solidify me interest in GGG as a developer. I'm the type of gamer who buys games, in part, because of the company, so I found that upfront, detailed interview to be very helpful.
Thanks for the updates

Looking forward to that interview/podcast he mentioned next week.

Same here ^^
Above content may contain traces of nonsense.

Reality is simply an unrealistic version of online gaming.
Figured I may as well raise my hand and let you guys know how I found out about you.

I've been following and lurking the forums since he first posted about it last year. I cannot wait for this game!
Nice update, I hope this game is out well before D3 so it has a real impact on the market. I'm quite sure it will be with the beta around the corner ( omninously around the same time as a certain D3)...
Level 98 Cyclone Shockwave Slayer
true D3 is likely coming out roughly the same time, and not to sound all fanboyish already, but when SC2 released i bought it, figured I would get into the multiplayer, and ended up playing like 20 games thus far, because I've been playing league of legends instead.

If PoE does a good job like they seem to be doing, I wouldn't mind dodging D3... I just hope enough people feel the same way to keep the population up.
