Client.exe keeps Redownloading the whole game entirely

When I start up client.exe, the game re-downloads itself again entirely. I also tried putting the game file Content.ggpk somewhere else, and placing it back later to see if the Client.exe acknowledges that there is nothing left to download. However, it doesn't work because the client doesn't recognize it is there and it still redownloads the 5GB. I only have to do it every time I restart or turn off my computer. I also ran the Pack Checker, and it only re-syncs the files, but the problem still occurs nonetheless. If you know the solution, please tell me because it is becoming a nuisance downloading 5GB every day I want to play.

" You downloaded the client from the Download Now button at the top of the website right? If so, tell me what browser your using and what folder/where the Path of Exile setup launches is in. |

Yes, I downloaded the installer from the Download Now button.
I am using Firefox 18.0.1. The folder I am launching it from is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile. If it helps, I also get stuck at checking resources unless I run the client.exe or game.exe as an administrator. Last edited by Aengker#0099 on Jan 28, 2013, 1:17:10 AM

Right click on the folder that says Path of Exile and go to properties. Can you tell me how big it says the folder is? Post both the Size and Size on Disk.

I have the same problem here. Client.exe allocates space at launch and starts the download again. There are 6.3GB on disk and I tried the packcheck.exe already. Every hint would be great! Thanks in advance :)

" 1) Are you running as Admininstrator? (right-click shortcut, and say Run As Administrator) 2) Did you modify the shortcut at all, or rename the Client.exe, or move the Client.exe? |

5,2GB but it doesnt matter anymore. I've uninstalled the game completely and deleted all the files in My Documents/My Games. I will try to perform a clean install again. I'll let u know if the problem persists.
