When to get Blood Magic?!

My Templar is Level 43 in Act 2 on Cruel. I'd like to get Blood Magic but I fear I might not have the stats yet.
I have:

1200 life
100 energy shield
720 Armor
1000 dps with Lightning Strike
750 dps with heavy strike

I have NO life leech or fast attack of any kind which makes me wonder if Blood Magic is overkill yet as I might not be able to regenerate life fast enough.
I'm only a few skill points away from getting a bunch of life regen and max life increase nodes.


Any thoughts? Should I wait, or get it now?

Did you put a bunch of skills into damage and not life? Whats your skill tree look like? What other skill gems do you have linked up to LS out of curiosity?

It's usually enough to pick up 1.5-3% life regen to be able to spam the shiz out of any skill I've tried.
