2Handed Aoe Dps Templar, Need advice on some further passive points And which Weapon to use

Hello my first char so there probably and already are some mistakes like the one handed dps passive etc..

But i wonder if any know or have tried if any of the skills im currently aiming for in my tree is worth it for my gameplay being : Aoe dps, heal regen. and high armor kind of dps

Currently im going with a 2 handed axe using swipe and cleave as my main dps. plus infernal strike rune with the booster one for single target

And my biggest thing is, What kind of two handed weapon would i specialize in? tried to read and ask alot and ending up with same questions. Im kinda stuck between Axe and sword. Unless there are some really good AOE spells for maces further on ?

This is current build i have and currently stuck and choosing a weapon spec.

And if i should go for

Pure brutality

Purity of essence

Diamon skin and all those resistance ones

Any input would be nice if someone got anyway to get me past my mental curtain

I suggest using maces there are tons of nodes you can grab. I didn't fix everything btw only the worst things you took off the start.


Now here is a build to aim for if you want 2h Mace. I think this will only require around 8 refund points to fix your current build so that should be easy enough for you to get as you get 8 per a difficulty from quests and w.e you find with regret orbs. Good Luck

Ah but will i be getting good usable aoe skills for the mace ? or are swords / axe no good compared ?

This is what i wonder for example. Will this be viable as well with either the axes or sword as spec ?

And going for plus to attack speed.

I don't have time to post a remake of the build but you don't have enough accuracy or dex to handle the 2h axe imho. 2H mace has better AOE then any other 2h. Also you grabbed a bunch of useless +15% resistance when you can get more then enough resistance through diamond skin. I also wouldn't take endurance charge or even touch any of the nodes in the "Purity of Essence" tree.
