Diminished chance to hit and damage reduction
Hi all,
Recently I have found that my chance to hit decrease level by level. And please note that I haven't change any equipment nor world. What I had changed this week was by adding more strength and intelligence from the passive skill tree. In my templar, my chance to hit was 77% when I was lv 68, but then it became 75% as I reached lv 72. Do other attribute other than dex affect chance to hit as well? Another interesting phenomenon. The damage reduction (which was calculated from the armor value) decreased significantly...I have no idea wt happened. Once again, I haven't change any equipment and I only change my attribuites as mentioned previously. When I was lv 68, the damage reduction was 25%, now it became 20% as I have reached lv 72. I haven't got any captured screenshot to support my scenario. But that was what happened into my templar. I am a little bit frustrated as I do not think it is acceptable (the characters stats decrease whereas the monsters are becoming overpowered -.-). I definitely haven't change anything including the world and the acts...Would these be something that was re-scaled from the last two patches? Any ideas? |

The damage reduction and accuracy percentage you see on the tooltip is simply a estimate of the damage reduction and chance to hit you will have against a monster of your level from what I understand. So of course when you level, it goes down.

"This. You are looking at estimated values of damage reduction and accuracy against a monster of the same level as you. If you level up, you're now comparing to a higher-level monster, so unless you upgrade your gear to match, the values will go down, since your chance to hit and damage reduction against higher level monsters are expected to be less compared to lower-level monsters. | |
thanks heaps. that sorta make sense now
