Auras stacking overpowered/need balancing?
Ok... so I've seen numerous builds, highlighting a number of skill combinations, that appear overpowered. People then focus on specific skills from CI to Spark to Ground Slam to Totems etc... that certain skills/builds need to revised so they're not so OP.
However, the constant across most of these builds are that people are running with 3, 4, 5 or even 6 auras are a time. The "Mana/Life Reserved" penalty isn't really limiting their builds as they regenerate mana/life instantly. They can always SPAM their skills with little to ZERO resource management. This also effects POTS meaning many builds can forego Mana/Life pots, so they can simply load up on utility pots (Granite, Diamond etc) and chain spam those. Again, there is little need to manage your resources in game. I'm not sure if/how OB and Act 3 will effect this, but before nerfing a bunch of existing skills (that seem OPed)... it would be interesting to see how these builds would fair without aura stacking. I'm not sure on the best way to limit it... perhaps only what is active on your action bar would force players to be more strategic and resource manage better in battle. Is it really hurting you to have people stacking auras?
I don't understand the cry to nerf spells, isn't the whole point of the game to figure out spell combinations what work for you so you can feel like a god running around killing things? People do a LOT of work to be able to run with multiple auras, to have the life and mana regen and appropriate gear to do it. You mean people with high end gear are.performing end game things?
Like using mana leech, and having auras running off reduced mana gems? Which some.of those auras they don't even level fully? Such as clarity..... |

Ya its not like you can just slap on a shit ton of auras right away(there may be some builds that can do it sooner than others). You have to build,gear, and gem for that. Either way you would still be plenty powerful, to me its kinda like saying being able to 6 link skills is OP and needs balancing.

Yes all auras should be nerfed and mana reserve cost increase to 100% so you can run 1 aura and not cast any spells.

OP clearly doesn't understand what players of this kind of game want and should probably just leave.
Edit: yeah, agreeing with the guy who said thats MMO thinking. end game I shouldn't have to worry about potions except for the emergency un-freezing granite potion of emergency situations. feeling overpowered is the joy of knowing you made a good build or acquiring really awesome gear.
