Traps are affected by spell damage. Good or not depends on how much strength you have. Most trappers don't have a lot of strength though, since the majority of strength nodes are on the opposite side of the tree.

thought they were unflaged as eligible for spell buff since the great trap patch
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it
By all accounts it should work, with the sole exception of Bear Trap because it does not do spell damage.

My trapper stacks both trap and spell damage nodes for a pretty good DPS increase, and also uses doedre's gloves - it's all working beautifully.

I don't use Iron Will though - too low strength score to actually give any meaningful increase in damage.
To be specific, traps themselves aren't spells, but can cast spells. For example, nothing about Bear Trap is a spell but Fire Trap and Lightning Trap each cast a spell when triggered. In the case that a trap casts a spell, Iron Will should apply.
same name in-game

And it does, tried and tested, the patch changed nothing about that. So, only bear trap isn't affected, fire and lightning trap are, so is freeze mine.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
