Path of Chests - Chest Opening Simulator 2013
In d2 you've found more type of "chests"
-Weapon racks -Armor racks -More corpses These should be introduced/improved in poe. "I'm programmed to say something that is kind and uplifting at this point, but there is apparently an error that is working in my favor."

Yeah why not.
Really a minor issue. Change some chests to weapon racks, armor racks, trunks and this should be fine. What really would make a big change tho, are hidden treasures like in Diablo 2 - act 1 - church. Those "secret" rooms in the jail, which are activated when stopping next to their entry for some seconds. Maybe make that even a little more complicated? Like a hidden phylactery of a afore defeated Lich! Ahh that's Dragon age (or Magic) speaking now ^^... But this might be better suited for a mini boss - challenge, if anything Last edited by Visuv#1278 on Nov 23, 2012, 6:09:57 PM

Maybe a hidden/locked room in the dungeon with a large treasure chest, which opens up if you kill every single monster in that area.

" There are already rare large chests in the game. |

" Yes but not that specific way of getting to them. It would be cool to have chests be obtainable through different ways that you have to work for, rather than being given to you rather easily. Last edited by Stroggoz#2475 on Nov 24, 2012, 5:08:52 AM

" It would be Zelda. Zelda is a kids game. Diablo games are too mature to have magical "clear this room of enemies" puzzles. |

" lol you actually remind me of this guy: ![]() joke aside, i dont think a mechanic like this is kid-like. I have never played Zelda or any games like that so i dont know the relation you are talking about. I only played Diablo 1 and 2 religiously. Why does this have to be a kid mechanic? It could even have lore backing it up, such as all the souls in the chamber must be collected in order to unlock the seal to the tresure that lies within etc etc. Diablo 2 had plenty of similar mechanics, such as collecting keys and organs to open secret portals to the Uber bosses, which dropped hidden treasures. Even the very first quest of Diablo 2 involves clearing a whole level to get the quest and reward. The game you stated to be too mature to have magical "clear this room of enemies" puzzles actually STARTS OFF with one of them :D Last edited by Stroggoz#2475 on Nov 24, 2012, 7:56:29 AM

" You can't have lore backing it up in a realistic way. "All the souls must be collected" is an instruction with only the theme backing it up. Are you telling me that these souls are somehow manifesting a ghostly force that is keeping the lid shut? I could maybe buy this with some heavy dialogue to go with it, but it's just too far-fetched to explain more than a single epic chest. Comparing natural processes (like using a key to unlock a door, and using an item to do something) to abstract, unreal game mechanics, makes me question your sanity. Next, will you be trying to explain floating coins around the level, with greedy poltergeists, that will charge 100 coins for a resurrection spell? |

" Replay Act 1 of Path of Exile for me. There is a quest in the beginning where you are supposed to clear out an entire level to get a reward. This is already in the game we are currently talking about, and it has lore and dialog backing it up. It is very much realistic and very do-able. The writers of GGG are extremely talented, so i wouldnt worry about having your immersion broken. Hell, they even pulled off explaining the very complicated Maps system with lore.
