D3 was built around the AH. The game is intentionally much more difficult and the loot is much worse if you choose to not use the AH's. Saying that its optional is technically true but its weird to say it. Thats like saying that using equipment altogether is optional. You CAN do it but its weird not to. Its like intentionally shooting yourself in the foot.

" The game is getting even more dumbed down by each patch, andf making some of my crappy character viable to do Inferno mode. In fact, most of them are already in act 3 Inferno mode. It is all thanks to MP0. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

" Drop rates have been buffed so much since launch you can easily farm a set to complete inferno. " Then turn up MP. That's why it's there. Keyblades!

" No thanks, I just want to complete Inferno mode with my five characters and be done with the game. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game. - raics, 06.08.2016 Last edited by JohnNamikaze#6516 on Nov 19, 2012, 10:15:51 PM

" Only reasons to continue playing is: ? Maybe lvl up all chars to level 60 and kill inf. diablo with them all, but what is the point when there is no real character customization? I missed making a "cheap build" in D2, which is basically a build that does not need the best of the best gear, but is powerfull enough to do high lvl content very effectively. You can do this in PoE, but not in D3. When PoE comes out i will make a "cheap build" so that i can use the cheap build to gather high lvl items so that i can make my "strong build" afterwards. But since the itemization in D3 is boring, it does not work very well when you want to make a 2nd character.... And you dont search for specific gear with your "cheap build"... In fact, you should prob. just use the AH for the 2nd character aswell... Maybe you have some spare items in your stash, but really, the items are just boring in D3. There is also not really any cheap/strong builds in D3 if you get my point. PvP is going to be crap aswell. Did you use only AH for all your 5 characters? Also, plz keep in mind that in PoE you can make like 10 diffrent duelist builds, but in D3 there is no reason to play 2 Witch Doctors forexample... Something that i looked forward to. Making a pure summoner Witch Doctor, a pure Fire Witch Doctor and a pure Poison Witch Doctor... but you cant do that in Diablo 3.... Cuz noobs thought that this was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too complicated. Im looking forward to fill my stash with the FUN and BUILD SPECIFIC items that are in PoE when it goes open beta, instead of just gathering gold like a fucktard in D3. Also trading in PoE is already 100 times better than the D3 "trade system" now, cuz of the trade window that was recently added. Much more fun than Auction House.... Not to mention better items, better currency items, better uniques items..... and more. |

" Had to use AH numerous times back before legendary items were buffed and MP did not exist. Inferno mode act 2 was my giant wall to four out of my five characters. Of course, when I say five characters, I say all five classes (forgot to mention this earlier). My barb was the only one to go through act 2 without the brick wall in my face, but Belial was a pain in the arse. Once patch 1.0.5 came out, I knew none of my characters would have a hard time with Inferno mode. My barb and monk already completed act 3, and my WD is halfway through act 3. My DH just started act 3, and my Wiz is still in act 2. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

" You know, I still have fun with the old, outdated Diablo 1. I have it modded to connect over LAN so I can play with friends. I invested around 800-1k hours into Diablo III and I would say, outside of the duping bug, Diablo I was roughly 50 times more enjoyable to play. It may be kinda slow and have poor graphics, but it is still more fun to play. Diablo II is also much more enjoyable than Diablo III. I believe the main reason I feel this way is due to the fact that I love ARPGs, not MMOs. The dev team tried to make an ARPG based off MMO dynamics and it just didn't work well, and rather than admitting it and overhauling the system they just keep tweaking it and trying to put more makeup on. You can put as much makeup as you want on a turd... its still a turd. |

" A lot of your answers were incorrect, but mainly just wanted to say that White Items in Diablo II were very important. 15/3 5os eth cb anyone? 15/3 4os eth ca? White Items have absolutely no purpose in D3. They should not even be in the game as they have no value and serve no purpose. I imagine they did at one point in development, and I am sure they will try to make people pay for it in a later expansion. Considering that the D3 that was first shown in 2008 had much more depth than the pile that they launched I would be willing to bet they just stripped a bunch of the systems so they could package them as an expansion at a later date to make more money. No love for the Blizzivizion, imo they are scum. |
