" I of course don't mean every rune and every skill is exactly the same but the builds themselves are the same if you want to have the most optimal build in inferno and especially on a monster power level. From what I hear if your a wizard you use a cookie cutter CM build or Archon build. Since those are the best options that's what the vast majority of wizards use. And I was referring to just being able to play the end game. You can certainly play the end game in Path of Exile with many different builds. I was speaking more about viable not optimal.

You could but people don't because they don't like getting destroyed by the elite packs. Especially if they want to play on any monster power lvl.
Viable in Path of Exile= You can play through all of the content on the hardest difficulty and be fine with any decent build which there are plenty of. Viable in Diablo 3= You can get away with playing what you want for awhile until you hit a wall and have to switch to the main stream builds just to survive. I actually haven't but I imagine its still mostly like that. I read their forums fairly often and people still talk about it like that. I know that they nerfed inferno so if your not using a monster power level its apparenlty a lot easier now, especially since everyones gear is a whole lot better than what good gear was when I was playing it. So I could be wrong in regards to inferno without monster power.
My guess would be that if you are using monster power my view of the game is still pretty accurate. From what I read on the forums most players appear to be playing on monster power levels a lot. Fix gems being shit, no runes, potions being shit... basically add that kind of cool stuff that we have in PoE and D2 which destroys the system in D3 in comparison. Fix the shitty story. Fix Blacksmith being a NOOB.... or make a brand new system. Fix unique items BIG TIME. Add runewords again plz, removing runes was a boring and disapointing decision. Fix Witch Doctor pets being horrible, even golem from D1 was better. Add PvP, and pvp will not suck if the things above are in the game. Fix hacks. Fix bots spamming friend invites to you, and fix nerfing or buffing all the time. Fix forum mods banning people for no reason. Add a Games List... so that you can make trade games, pvp games, mf games, private games... instead of just joining something random. There is a problem if somebody is afk in a public game, and you just keep rejoining the 1 afk player in that game. Very stupid and pointless... U cant play the game online just because some random player is sitting afk... Fix paying something to your stash in order to use it. Its retarded. It seems like some kind of joke... Does the chest eat your gold afterwards just to become fat so that there is more room afterwards or WTF?? And again..... FIX THE DAMN SKILLTREE... AND THEN I DOUBLED IT! |

" Monster Power is designed for people with high-end gear. If they're getting crushed with X build, it's because their gear level is too low. It wouldn't matter if they were using the best build or not. Also, don't read anything on the D3 forums. Nothing there but trolls. Keyblades!

My first impressions: This game is better than Diablo 3. But we must take in mind that D3 will improve also. We will see who wins the fight at the end by i bet on POE because developers listen what gamers want.
