trading and scamming question

Does anyone has any new information in regards to whether or not an in game trade window will be added by open beta? My opinion is that we need one by open beta or very soon after. Scammers were annoying in closed beta but it will be ridiculous for the games soft release.

I am all about the plans for trading without being in the game at all but we still need a relatively safe way to trade in game. Yes I know as well as everyone else that people can scam with trade windows as well but its still a lot better than dropping your items on the ground. With trade windows you just have to take an extra second to check to make sure that the other guy didn't switch the item to a look alike before hitting accept.

Anyway, maybe the info for this is already out there in which case just let me know and lock this thread. Thanks

I wonder where it is then. I hope they still plan on putting it in soon.

0.9.13 was really the 2nd half of the 0.9.12 patch (well, what that link's 0.9.12 patch was). They decided to do an extra patch due to the PvP arenas being a bit slow, but they wanted to get the minion stuff out and tested as quick as they could.

It should show up in the next major patch, probably in about 4 weeks, give or take.

I think I have read somewhere else that we will get the simple trade window before or with OB but I can't find that at the moment.
Anyways, I would be really surprised if there wouldn't be a trade window with OB. Trading in closed beta is really safe (at least I didn't get scammed so far ;)) but this might change drastically once stuff doesn't get whiped anymore and people can bring as many fake accounts as they please.

I can't find the link right now, but I remember a recent GGG post that specifically talked about the 3 or 4 focus areas for OB now that patch 13 is out. Those areas being Act III finalization, trade system, and sync/stability, to name three.

I just asked Chris. He confirmed the trade window will be added before Open Beta. I'm not sure how extensive the trade features will be beyond the basic window when it's first implemented.
