Any good 1.0 Freezing Pulse builds yet?

Going CI with shadow pulse you will lose out on a TON of damage. Currently only level 57 so I got a very long way to go, but it is shaping up nicely and I am kicking ass. Have a tabula rasa running FP/Added lightning/blood magic/lifeleech/GMP//rarity, can't support added chaos damage yet cast wise.

My FP shadow just died due to desync.. Currently trying to find a better build than what I was running.. Noob question: Are the Breath of Rimee nodes ever worth getting?

I'm currently running a Scion FP build in nemesis. Only lvl 72 atm but things seem to be going smoothly.

It's a life based build with survivability from templar and marauder starting areas & scion health circle. Then it branches over to shadow area for the crits. Found it lacking in dmg earlier on a bit, but now I've got the crit nodes all is good.

Combination of armour, evasion and life regen for dmg mitigation.

Wish I had taken 40hp and extra endurance charge from bandit quests instead of extra skill points. But live and learn.


Anyone have any tips or optimizations please post here also. :)

Nice.. I like both Syckk's and Cij's builds.

I know you're planning all your possibilities but I'd just try to settle on less points.

Something that bothered me though is the lack of HP. Why would you say that going CI would cost a lot of DPS for a Freezing Pulse Shadow?

Just a question: do you really need those three 8% mana regen nodes NW of the Scion's starting point in the tree? Question being: isn't it better to go for the three 0.4% life regen nodes?

Yeah I was also thinking this, but I'm not sure since otherwise not sure how it could sustain spam of FP? I'm not sure, just my guess..

In the Shadow area, taking Haste + Life and Mana is strictly better than taking the two Dex nodes leading to Conditioning.

However, I think you're lacking a lot of crit chance/multiplier. Your build has 180% increased crit chance and 90% multiplier; for comparison, following Aimlessgun's cold crit build, I have 345% chance/170% multiplier from passives alone. (Link) I'm not sure what the best way to build this with a Scion is; I'd probably start with going up to Intense Zeal instead of the Marauder area.

I would never take life regen over mana for this build, btw, I don't see much use for it.

I am also levelling a freeze pulser.

I started with Scion and I am in Merciless a2 right now (Nemesis Solo):

I am running grace, discipline, and clarity + arctic armour lvl 11ish.

I will pick up the shadow crit nodes next.

Not sure if want to go mana shield after that or just run another aura (purity).

I am guessing for this build you use a dagger with crit? What do you link FP with other than LMP?
