Custom forum style for firefox

After 6+ months of using these forums, I got sick of the tiny text input box and decided to try making it bigger.

I can't mod the in-game UI, but I can mod the forum UI!

So I made a custom style sheet that you can use with firefox to improve the forums a bit. You can read a little intro into firefox custom per-page CSS here.

I basically made it so that the forums expand horizontally to fill the window - instead of being a fixed width. I also made a lot of other minor adjustments. Here's a few comparison screenshots:

You'll need to put it in a specific directory -

For OS X:
<home>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/>random characters>.default/chrome/
For windows XP
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<random characters>.default\chrome\
For vista
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<random characters>.default\chrome\

If you can't find your profiles directory, type "about:support" in firefox address bar. Then click the "open containing folder" button next to profile directory. Put the file in the "chrome" subfolder.

Then you'll need to restart firefox for it to take effect.

Update
Here is another version of the file, that also hides user's signatures:

Made a couple more minor adjustments.

If anyone ends up trying this out, let me know what you think.
Looks good to me, especially for those of us on high resolutions.

Hm, this looks really good actually, but couldn't you make it into an addon? I very much dislike adding things onto my browser that I can't just as easily remove, having a file saved in some super obscure folder deep down in the folder tree just doesn't cut it for me.

Perhaps it could be a greasemonkey script or something?

Sorry I have no idea how to do either of those things, and they don't sound any simpler than just having a harmless CSS file on your HD.

You could just save a shortcut to the directory in your PoE folder, so you could easily find it if you want to delete it.

Fixed some broken-looking parts of the private messages area.
Nice. I don't know why so many web designers use fixed-width design, it's so stupid. You're not making a magazine!

There are some old rules of thumb that work well for text no matter the medium. Having around 8-12 words per line is a good rule so that the reader does not lose their line. Fixed widths are no arbitrary decision.

I have to say I prefer the fixed width but I'd like to see a way to hide people's siggies, some of them take up half the screen. I don't suppose there's an option for that that I've missed, is there?
