so what was the Open Beta exactly for?
Open Beta was designed solely so that I would have a reason to slack on my work and social life. You just got to play because I'm a nice guy.

" What problem would that be exactly? And 'Blizz way'? What exactly do you mean by that...not being snarky, asking a serious question here. Are you talking about how Diablo III deviated so much from the foundations of Diablo II overtime and that what was presented wasn't a good game because the core mechanics and what not were flawed after those changes were made? Changes that were made long before they were introduced into the public Beta? Again, trying to understand where you're coming from with this and how you're saying 'Blizz way' to correlate the comparison I made to what sidtherat said. |

" What do you mean the trolls that left and only come back to the forums to cry and produce illusionary problems? They are gonna leave again? Good riddance. I'm a forum warrior, i was born to post, raised to defend my league. Now my post has been removed, chained and exiled by mods who Ban. Ban is my brother; i do not fear it. I see it in the eyes of men and beasts that i troll. It will take me to play the actual game when i am ready and i am not ready.

" On the other hand the new areas, class and gems are also just proof that it had content lacking, so BETA was an apt description :p |

I'm surprised the OP is getting flamed so bad here. Not saying there aren't reasons to disagree, but you really can't see the concerns he has?
Here, I'll try to help: Obviously, the balance of skill setups and passive builds and all of that is very difficult to manage. When they plan to do major content updates, it can be assumed that the passive tree and skills will be buffed/nerfed/adjusted as GGG sees fit. This game will never be "stagnant," as there will always be something new coming into the mix and changing the current balance. Here's the issue, though: GGG has been incredibly reluctant to touch certain aspects of the game, namely items - We all know that some of the newer (and even older ones like Kaom's) uniques are just out of control. If they weren't willing to bring these items in line during a BETA, you really think they ever will? Likely not. Which wouldn't even be a big deal if... They didn't keep releasing new, out of control uniques like Auxium, Soul Taker, etc. So we can (and should) assume that, post "Release," they will continue to release broken items from time to time, and will likely never reign them in. I view this as a problem, and if GGG comes out and says "We like overpowered uniques so we plan to release more," I'll be fine. But they don't. They imply something more along the lines of, "Um, well, you know... Diamond supports will be butthurt, and, we should let them do as they please... sorry..." and it is completely ridiculous. And that is just items. There are some obvious skill balance concerns that are tied into that too. Anyone who thinks Discharge or Low Life RF Shavronne's sporking is perfectly in line with other skills is high as a kite. That being said, I'd probably refrain from getting super worked up about balance until the actual 1.0.0 patch notes are up, because it is possible that big changes are lurking that won't come to light until the buzz dies down about Scion and Act3x and stuff. Why don't people that do nothing but whine, just pack their shit and leave?Seriously, you don't like it,leave!
1.Have any of you seen patchnotes for 1.0?NO,so why don't you shut up,and save your bitching for 3 weeks from now.How do you know they are not nerfing CI?How do you know they are not balancing skills and uniques? That's right, you don't,you just pulled this thread out of your ass... 2.This is a F2P game, meaning "open beta" is not for testing, but a soft launch (that's why there's no wipe) |

It's true, GGG never removes broken things. That's why I'm still playing my Avatar of Fire build.
