Portals during boss fights

I tried out the public stress test this weekend, and overall I have to say the game is pretty awesome.

I was concerned, though, with being able to portal out of a boss room during a fight, getting full flasks, and going back in. Similarly, it didn't feel right when playing with friends to have them be able to join back into a boss fight so easily after dying during the fight simply by going through a portal.

Yah PoE rules! Come join us in closed beta now! :) There are usually events every weekend. A 3 hour hardcore ladder for sure and sometimes others like cutthroat.

Running through a portal to recharge your flasks does feel a bit cheesy, but you'll be ever so grateful for the ability when you play hardcore! GGG is aware of the practice; it's pretty much a game feature now LOL.

The maneuver is not without risk as the area does not reset. Especially at the act 2 boss as you could walk into icy ground, minions will attack, and you can get zapped even from off screen- died once to that while opening another portal after coming back in. Plus you have none of your buffs.

What bugs me is the inconsistency. You can portal in and out of the big boss fights all you want but if you die during a fight with the bandit leaders they reset or your locked out until the fights over or the rest of your group dies.
