Lost exp + Add exp items dont add any more % to exp

I'm playing a level 64 witch, I played it a little on 08/27/2013 and stop playing it around 6:12pm CST-US. When I log out I had 226,926,182 exp I log in again on 08/28/2013 around 12:17am CST-US there was a small update , after updating and longing into the game I found that my exp was 214,602,061 some how I lost 12,324,121 exp (Damn exp eating gremlins). All so I use the items Chitus' Apex +5% added exp gain and Peranbus Signet +3% Exp gain. It dose not seem to add/boost exp gain but seems to deduct it. I filed out an ingame BR the Ref number is 269601634. I believe that I have a screen shot with the original exp from befor I loged off at 6:12pm CST-US if it help. ( No I'm not asking from the exp back but it sure would be nice if the items that add a +% where working the way they should.

if you are playing standard league past normal difficulty, did you die?

I'm on the Anarchy league, But no I did not I just logged off and came back after the little update and poof. But thank you for you reply.

would have been good for a before and after pic....i know you have the before one but did you get an after before you started gaining exp?

It can't be because you died, because you only need 22,044,909 exp to get from 64 to 65. You would have to die lots of times to lose that much exp.

So, my guess is that the zone server you were playing on crashed after you logged out, but before it could back up your recent exp gain. So they had to rely on an earlier backup of your character. Did you get all of that exp in one zone?
