Shadow Reaver Build Discussion

I'm currently building a Shadow Reave based build using multistrike. I find it amazing so far, but I am concerned that i won't be able to play melee with CI. Will it work without Armor and Evasion? Or do i need to go hybrid Armor/ES or Evasion/ES. Will those work? What would be best? I definetly would like to go CI.

Your start isn't terrible, but I would seriously re-evaluate your build goals. If you're going for a life build, 70% won't cut it; if you're going CI, hybrid evasion works fine. I'm not 100% sure whether you're trying to hit an elemental or physical Reave. Regardless, you're probably better off re-rolling before you invest heavily into your current build. You might be able to build out of it with the provided refund points, but I didn't look at it that deeply.

Further, there aren't many benefits to dual wield Reave, other than the attack speed bonus. You might as well just wear a shield and increase your survival throughput.

As far as CI Reave is concerned, this (http://tinyurl.com/SupaPoeTime-ReaverCI) is something close to what I've been considering (if my evasion based Ranger Reave doesn't work out). This is heavier on defenses, but lacks Unwavering Stance.

If you're going for a life build, I would suggest starting at another location personally.

The above CI build can be tweaked however - there is some level of variability there.

Hope that helps a little - at least regarding CI as a direction from the Shadow starting position.

What supports do you use for reave? I was considering something like multistrike, melee physical damage and increased AOE (+mpd on full life +faster attacks)

edit: also given the # of power charge nodes, PCOC should work pretty well too right?

im in the middle of a shadow reave build myself and its a lot of fun. however I think you may be better off going with a claw and a shield. the life leech claw passives free up a gem slot enabling more damage in late game; which definitely comes in handy. using a shield also makes getting max resist and a decent life or energy shield pool easier as well. All the badass crit/dmg dagger nodes are certainly appealing early on but come back to bite one in the ass later on. Unless you just have badass gear of course (I don't).
