Better indicator when an attack misses an enemy

This weekend is my first time trying out the game, I'd say my biggest issue thus far is the lack of any sort of indicator when your attack misses an enemy (eg "Missed!" over the enemies head). An option for damage numbers would be nice too (saw discussion on that previously), I understand some people wouldn't be a fan there though.

Tried out a bow user initially and I didn't like the experience much - my shots were missing but I couldn't tell if it was from the game lagging, me not aiming correctly, or me simply missing. Just having a better indicator when an attack fails the accuracy check and misses due to that would improve that a lot.

The problem is that current, a true "miss" doesn't send any data back to the client. Not really sure they want to increase the amount of data sent if they can help it.
Hmm, I was referring to a message when a miss fails due to the accuracy check failing. That is definitely something the client would be aware of. If not it should be able to at least infer if a hit a player does doesn't damage the enemy at all
Combat in general feels weird- I don't know when the enemies misses or when I miss if I'm not paying close attention.

I also think that a skill like Sweep shouldn't miss all or hit all, but be calculated per enemy. Just my opinion.

It already is. Accuracy/Evasion is always checked against each individual enemy, and has to be because they have different evasion ratings.

Interesting, maybe my chance to hit on a particular hit is lower or higher? I seem to miss all or hit all, but I did notice after playing more that a few times I hit some but not others.

Working through the logic, I suppose it makes sense if I miss or hit all of the same type of creature as they would have the same evasion/armor.

+1 would be nice to see what is happening while we are progressing with our builds. Maybe at least a log window that can be opened/closed. This has nothing to do with WoW (I never even played it) it's just plain useful information to have on disposal.

How about no. There are better things for them to spend their time on.

For me, I just miss that WHIFF sound from missing in D2. When you started hearing that a lot in a fight, you knew you had an issue to fix. Was great audio feedback.
