Can somone confirm a mana reserve node(s) question

the nodes in queston are the reduced mana reservation nodes , Do they follow the same rules as with aura's that take life instead of mana reserve after taking Blood Magic? I wanted to make sure because of a build i'm constructing that will include BM. thanks
