I would have no problem with it wouldn't it appear on a video game board where a toned down language style would probably lead to more open-minded and accessible discussions.

I take back the dislike comment on your writing. It was tyrannical and unjustified indeed.
I will not further respond in this thread because it is enough of an derailment already,
you are free to respond per PM.

Excuse me for initiating this derailment of the thread and discussion in the first place.

I'm starting to think - like Destro - that this is by design.
but why?

cause its Wraeclast john, its not Disneyland. If a thing looks dangerous, it probably can and will kill you, theres no safety nets. If you play with fire in a world that is trying its best to destroy you at every turn bad shit can happen.

I feel like thats part of the theme of the game, it should feel like looking in the eye of a shark. You can be killed anywhere, theres no guarantee you will have the power to defeat an enemy you face moving through the game. You are forced to fully evaluate at all stages, choices you make can lead to certain doom.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

While I do think that the decision making on Akira's part was bad, I still think it's stupid the game even allows you to die like this.

What a horrible way to handle blood magic. You should never be able to kill yourself like this ever. Dying from blood magic by using too much 'life' to cast a spell is a stupid death trap. The design is terrible.

Actually...from a lore/fantasy perspective the skill design is good, the skill is well named, and that death was totally preventable by the player...he was consciously making the choice to sacrifice life force for power, and he used too much of his life force and died.
I wouldn't say terrible design, I'd say terrible player.

This is like a Popville cat story, but even more bizzare.

You expect them to rush in-game content, when the game isn't a cardboard, one-dimensional, 1bit, flat, narrow, monochromatic (this could be the upgraded version of the chromatic orb, where it turns your sockets black and introduce a whole new level of socket-mechanics) type of game, but a complex, deeply-thought-out, immersive, ever-growing sea of intricacies that render desires obsolete, for the world is so expansive and fulfilling -- atleast, progressively -- that desires are limited to the possibilities.

I do?

In a world where 'later' equals 'rushed', I suppose.

Casually casual.

To be honest, I'd rather they didn't do that and do it all in one go, possibly with a global respec or coinciding with a global respec for another reason.

Yes.

Look at your original ramble, look at what you quoted.

That said, at least they are fixing them, bit by bit, I adjust as they do and won't QQ. But I think the 'several birds with one stone' approach would have been better, even done later.

Now, go away and stop making a fool out of yourself.

Seems to me that the Alpha's Howl exploit actually has a negative, it kills a level 92.

It's actually kind of sad, because if you didn't have enough mana it just wouldn't cast. But I'm surprised you can 1ko yourself on there. This kid on the ledge in Anarchy had like 30 hp(low-life), and he died like 4 times when nothing was around. I kept asking and trying to help figure out. Finally, I said check your flasks. And he had the remove-life for mana one... People just don't pay attention anymore.
