Stop whining about unused invites,, forum inactivity, etc.

GGG is trying to get a good mix of players for the beta. That means there need to be some "hardcore" people and some people who meander about and do "newb" things. Unless they want to have a person appointed full time for this job, which is probably not reasonable considering this is an indie game, they have to go the random invite route.

It's not an accident that there are a bunch of invites that don't get used, or get used very lightly. If you use an invite timer you measure your average results. For example: For X amount of invites we send out, Y amount of players will be on the server for Z amount of hours every day, on average. If you start inviting really active forum people, you would have to send out fewer total invites anyway.

This is the best they can do given their constraints, and everything considered, it's pretty fair. So please, stop whining incessantly about how unfair the timer is and how many beta invites are being "wasted on inactive newbs".
And... now your whining about the whining. This is pure, grade A flamebait. Awesome. :D you are so my hero.
stop whining about whining. ty.
Umadbro?

Sounds like umadbro.
There is far less whining in the general discussion board. I think that is where you should read and save yourself the frustration of clicking on these "whine" threads.
Yup. This entire forum was specifically set up for people to vent with these crap topics, so that it doesn't flood the good forums. Contribute to the ideas forum, or read the class forums for the real discussion.

Not to mention the broader array of machines. If you choose all hardcore players, they're most likely to have similar machines. Whereas if it's at random, you may have some top of the line machines and some shit-poor 15 year old machines struggling to stay alive.
Stop whining about whining about whining, etc. The cheese goes on.
Guys lets stop whining! Let's make OP happy!
