Portal disappeared, lost all good items and quest item!

Hi!
When i opened a portal to sell the white items the portal in town suddenly disappeared and i have lost all the good stuff, which i wanted to keep plus the quest item.
Is there a chance to respawn or any ideas?
This is ab big problem because this is my hobby in games like this one (Diablo, Diablo 2, etc.).
It would be fine, when you could fix this bug. And when its not a bug, its a mess you must fix! Its not fun!

Yeah, portals disappear after 8-15 minutes, depending on the instance. But why did you take that long to sell some white items? In fact, unless you had find a ton of 6s items or something, you shouldn't be selling every white item you come across.

I'm curious... Did the portal "suddenly" disappear, or were you AFK/in town for a prolonged period of time? Portals disappear after 8/15 minutes in town. If this was not the case, you should report this as a bug.

the way it works is that once you leave an instance there is an 8-15 timer that counts down at the end of which that instance closes, so your portal ceases to exist.

next time you travel to that area a new instance will be created.

if you are on the town waypoint portal and ctrl click the area in question you will see any open instances and their timers, and you can manually create a new one if you wish.

somebody once told me it's 8 min if the area is adjacent to 1 zone and 15 if it connects to 2, but I have no idea if that's true.

next time you travel there it will be a new instance and all quest stuff will have reset.

there is an occasional bug where the instance is lost and the portal say something to the effect, I have only seen it a couple times though

Thx, for your answers. No, it didn't take long. Just 2 min. i guess. Sold the items and directed back to the portal, but it was gone.
First time i did the same it worked, the second time it disappeared.
I think it's a bug.

If you think it'sa bug then there is two things you need to do:

Firstly, reproduce it.

Secondly, post in support forums. You'll get a far quicker response from devs there.

I have a feeling you are miscalculating how much time you spend in the town though, so time how long it takes for the portal to disappear. Like, with a stopwatch or something.

In a map, only 1 portal can be opened at a time, so maybe someone else opened one

Everyone in the group can open their own portals and it will not interfere with yours. So your answer is false information.
