Over a year of beta, one million dollars in revenue and still not released?
The support packs DO NOT speed game completion. They delay it. The support packs are an excuse to keep the beta extended as long as possible and using the excuse of "polishing the game". Starve GGG for money and see how fast the game gets released and the micro transaction system is accessible. The ARPG model is not new and their graphics engine isn't groundbreaking. There is no reason for over a year in beta unless GGG is greedy, incompetent or both. |

" And then GGG had to cut staff / hours because there wasn't a budget for it. And then GGG had to introduce microtransaction options in a small user base before the game was fully set. And then PoE just wasn't as good anymore. And then GGG went under. I hope you're satisfied. |

" As they do not want to wipe after open beta, it is clearly a necessity to do as many balance changes in closed beta as possible. Going public will also mean that people will expect a somewhat finished product. They simply are not finished yet. You assuming they are allready finished is clearly a result of the same issue which causes you to be mad about the delay: you have no beta key. You did not play yet. Dont blame anyone else but you. Either be patient, or solve the real issue yourself by buying a key. Everything else is a cheap conspiracy theory. You obviously lack information about the state of the game, as well as any insight into such kind of projects. I'll tell you a secret: software projects rarely finish in time. And I have to mention that your call for "starving" them is pointless. But I guess you know that allready, and are actually just venting your frustration. Or trolling. But hey, its the internets.... I gotta feed a troll now and then. Part of the game. |

" thanks for the hint; had to allow scripts from twitch.tv in the browser to make it work ^^ invited by timer @ 10.12.2011

" Starve GGG for money and there would be no PoE. Also, I would rather GGG take their time with the game, so that way they can polish the game and add more contents. Look at Blizzard, for example, they released ToG far too early, and it was pretty much a joke. I am not even sure if patch 1.0.4 would save it from despair. I just hope blizz eventually makes it offline, so that way I can tear apart all the nerf they did to the game. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game. - raics, 06.08.2016 Last edited by JohnNamikaze#6516 on Aug 20, 2012, 11:57:11 AM

" Yes how dare they delay their project and hold back people like you (who have paid nothing to play the game) from playing the game. I realise $10 is alot of money for some people, but basically if you forgo a 6 pack of beer, there's your beta key. Diablo 3 was in Beta for a year and was still released incomplete, with inferno hardly being tested. Every game that has come out early has either sucked or being much worse than it should have been. DA:O was awesome and DA:2 was average, CnC rocked as well as Red Alert 1,2 then EA get their mits on it and produce a game every year that is rubbish. There's an easy solution - pay the $10. |

for the glitches, i would say (not an expert) that there is an error in the rendering process.
Need a SS for it, but the colors are basic (no textures, just one color per artifact/object) and the object shapes are mostly a combination of triangular shapes that can go across the whole screen. As i said am not an expert on graphics, but it seems that the process of defining the number of vertices per object isn't good/ prone to instability, causing the glitches. For the origin of the problem i would blame the effects drawing system (the more elemental spells that are used, the sooner the glitches appear). The other possibility is the z buffer issue that would make more sense in some cases (dungeons with pits that have no textures). The last possibility that comes into my mind is the mem fragmentation. Too much objects without perfect mem management could lead to mem fragmentation resulting in the invalid coordinates of the vertices or their number. Also there is a possibility of the lag causing the drawing issue .Maybe you have not seen this issue because of the game testing in higher speed networks. P.S. Dont kill me if i said something wrong, just trying to help (as i said am not an expert) :) Kristen for president! :) Last edited by noirtenshin#2750 on Aug 20, 2012, 7:23:03 AM
