Anyone going "wow an exile sweet" when you find one?

Also, the sawblade cyclone exile really needs a buff. Last time I crashed while fighting him, logged back on, and didn't even die (only time I've ever been disappointed by a non-death). His DPS is really sad :o

Just done 10 levels (39-49) & I haven't seen 1 Rogue in all that time, for me they are still very elusive.

I usually get pretty good drops from Exiles. I also find they add a nice mix of difficulty to the normally mundane groups of monsters. My only complaint is that almost all of them are an absolute nightmare to fight as melee because they don't fuckin' stop moving around.

That might be why Flicker is great to kill them. I just hold down flicker and they expire in a few seconds.

Currently level 67 crit/phys bow ranger. Just to give a tally of the number of exiles fought and killed:
Eoin Greyfur - 6 times or more Ion Darkshroud - 4 times Torr Olgosso - 3 times Orra Greengate - 2 times Thena Moga - 2 times Antalie Napora - 2 times So about 19-21 exiles killed, with several deaths accompanied. I've yet to see other exiles. The hardest ones out of the bunch were probably Torr and Orra. Ion and Thena are up there on difficulty to kill and major annoyance due to Viper Strike and their mobility. I really like the exiles. Just the fact that an exile can spawn anywhere is exciting. It gives me the same feeling that uber-diablo gave when playing diablo 2.
I encourage more random events like these. The exiles themselves are more challenging than the random rare monsters, I think, and you usually have to change your tactic a bit, which is welcome. |
