Launch and the store

Sorry if this has been covered but I just started playing last night and have looked around a bit but I could not find it.... Is there going to be a character wipe at launch and if I buy stuff in the store now will it carry over when the game is released?

Loving the game so far. I found it why looking at reviews for D3 And PoE looked more to be what I was looking for. The community has been great and I cant wait for the weekend when I can put a lot more time into PoE.
