[3.29] Luminary spoiled me

Luminary spoiled me

Playing Flamelink Luminary with Manyshot is so easy, it feels like a cheat.
I simply enter a map and everything I see melts. It's like a RF, but screen wide. I don't do anything. I simply am, and by being, I win. No skill required.
Technically it's a burst damage skill, but since I went all-in on the attack speed, instead of crit chance/multi, it feels more like a DoT.
It's 80% based on Captainlance9's build, his idea, most of his details, few changes (for example I skip the 100+ div gear), nothing crazy.
I press one Flamelink button at the start and one Town Portal button at the end.
Everything in between is just movin 'n' lootin. One hand behind my back.
I stand inside Breach Hive or Abyss, mobs comin from all directions, I open inventory and ID items, read through the mods, throw away the garbage. I don't pay attention to the fight. I can't die. And the merc kills em all.
Feels illegal. Like game broke.
It feels so good I cannot stop.

In all earnesty I have no idea how I'm ever gonna go back to smashing buttons and minding character position and cursor vector and monster distance and cooldowns and proper combo sequence and mine/trap amount etc etc, ya know, all the usual stuff you have to do on almost every character if you wanna survive in a lvl 83+ area.
None of that matters for an optimized Lumi.
I'm so spoiled right now, how will I ever return to the baseline game experience??

One Manyshot merc, one Ice Shot skill, one GMP support + pierce and attack speed on gear, its enought to get your Atlas done.
With more nice supports such as return/fork/chain/pierce and auras the screen gets simply deleted. Lovely.
Hell, even before that GMP it was super. My Bath House Manyshot with fork+chain melted not only Kitava, but all white and yellow maps.
Max out life, Flamelink and unleash the fury.
I did 1st map T1, 2nd map T2, 3rd map T3 etc, until 16th map when I started doing T16 only.
Never before did I need so few maps to get to T16 and stay there.
Never before have I reached T16 map with half of my campaign gear, like Wanderlust for 1c.
Never before have I reached T16 solo below lvl80.

At first T16 I bought a lvl83 Manyshot from market, for 30c. Then I simply mowed the full Atlas with it, siphoning currency and upgrading to even more power in the process, items for 100c a piece.
With ~10div investment Invitations were a joke, didn't even die on Feared.
Died once on lvl95, when a boss killed my linked spectre, ameliorated. Haven't died a single time between 96 and 100, other than Maven memory game (no xp loss).
Sim 15 was a breeze after lvl96, started inviting others to let them get bloodline.
Self levelled to 100, not a single 5way, occasional free coward if someone invited or the map dropped for me.
Didn't pay a single chaos for xp.
Breach, Abyss, Voyage, Simulacrum - bam, 100.
Currently level 100, 16.000 life, 520.000 EHP, 36 challenges done, delving deeper than ever, melting 85 pinnacles like ice cream on a Summer day (~30sec the ones who got no phases).
Skipping only Maven memory games (hate it) and Atziri (reflect).
200 hours in, I still enjoy playin it.

Running no farming strat.
IDC bout Kingsmarch or Hiveblood or Sanctum or Heists. Simply running maps with 100+ quant, voyages, delve, sim, others. Currency drops on the floor everywhere I go. I do what is fun, no grind for coin.
And sure, there's still room for improving my gear by 2% or 3% here and there, at a cost of 75-200+ div a piece. But I feel no incentive to spend anymore. Why not? Because it's already OP.
Lots of my gear is T1 and some may say "It's so easy because I spent a lot on the gear". But I'm here to tell you "I spent a lot on the gear because it's so easy to farm currency"! Divines are dropping by the minute, so why not spend some of them.

Thank you, GGG, for this unforgetable experience.
I'm sure you gonna nerf it next league. You probably should. Because it feels unethical towards other classes to get so much power for so little ivestment. Imba.
Until then, I'm gonna enjoy it.

Peace

TLDR: "FUN!"

I shared some of your experience.

But mine goes further.

As a returning player after NOT playing for 4 years. A lot has changed.
And this has been one of the most fun seasons ever played.

Partly due to the Luminary build.
Partly due to the QOL changes made over the years.

I normally attempt the 40/40 challenges... and by the end of it I am so burned out I don't continue.

Not this time around. This was probably one of the only times that I could absolutely do everything on the 40/40 list myself. No feeling of I would rather go "buy" my achievements because this beautiful build could do it all.

I also assume a nerf of some kind is coming, which is sad.

I love minion/pet builds, usually playing a witch of some kind.

bam 40/40.

the funny thing is, it took only 200 maps to get 39/40 and then another 200 maps to get the last challenge: Modified Maps

weirdest of all, there's a challenge called Gallant Grinding that requires far less actual grinding then the Modified Maps (~100 maps vs ~400 maps)

still not tired of this build.
