LS Templar - what now ?

Hi fellow exiles. This is my first char I'm playing SC but trying to do this right.

I will get the tanky nodes from the maruder start but idk what next. I was thinking about getting to static blows but what should i get on the way there ? I'm using LS but still don't know what support gems should I look for. I'm lvl 37 I started cruel now and the mobs are massacring me as hard as I'm massacring them and I think it shouldn't be this way. I will be gratefull for any tips :)
