Bug Report: Random Lag and Stuttering During Gameplay

I’ve been experiencing random lag spikes and stuttering while playing Path of Exile 2. The issue happens unpredictably - sometimes during regular gameplay, sometimes in combat and sometimes just while moving around. The game will freeze for a second, then resume as normal.

The stutters are not tied to specific zones, monsters or skills - it’s completely random.

My FPS drops from stable (e.g., 60+) down to single digits during these moments.

Sometimes, the audio also “hiccups” during the freeze.

Other times, network latency jumps up briefly, but not always.

Can happen in both solo and party play.

I have checked my system and network; other games run fine and my hardware isn’t under heavy load.

Thank you in advance.

Same as OP.

I realise this isnt the only post/thread about performance issues but it has steadily been getting worse. I fully take into account that this is at Beta stage and still requires ongoing work but it really is getting to be uplayable.
As OP says, and i am the same, my hardware can play any other games without problems so it does not appear to be purely hardware related issue.
Using the ingame performace monitoring graphs (F1),

CPU: (multi-threading enabled) 20ms - +100ms , you can see the overutilisation of the cpu when a new map loads.
What operations are being processed by the CPU that the GPU should be doing?
GPU: always low between 9 - 14ms
Network: low 20ms to +100ms
Network spikes are usually accompanied by ingame audio drops when running maps.
MEM: 3.6GB+ (doesnt go excessive over this amount of used memory)
VRAM: 3.3GB (doesnt seem to use an excessive amount of VRAM)
DRIVE: 0 - 150MB/S (doesnt appear to be excessive use once map loaded)
SHADER: Most noticable when loading into a map, this 'indicator' possibly highlights the biggest performance issue that i can see. It can take several minutes for this process to stop and operate at a 'normal' level when shader rendering small changes. The most frustrating thing is that IF you do not let this process complete or at least render some objects 'enemies' will not be rendered, aka are invisible, and you can die from this action and render generate lag spikes when the render process has not finished.
It has now got to the point, 14-06-25, that when attempting to play with other players they can 'complete' a T15 map before the Render process has finished.

FPS: (Background) 29/30FPS as capped in options, (Foreground) 1 - 60FPS as capped in options - When there is many things happening at once the FPS is brought down to single figures in some instances, most noticeable when Lightning is being used, and add to this high CPU useage, high network traffic and Shader useage... when these performance isses combine the game becomes unplayable and frustrating.

I'm pretty sure the DEVs are aware of the problems and can approach me or any of the communtiy to submit any further details required.

(all spelling and gramatical mistakes are my own and fully accounted for!)
