Message from an SSF player: You are disrespecting our time

I guess i dont have the same experience with movement speed as you, my warrior is lvl 82 and i have 15% movement speed boots. With the armour base modifiers im sitting at 5.8% movement speed. I have not found a single equippable boot that has movement speed + life yet.

Nah, sounds like we’ve had almost exactly the same experience. For 530 out of my 550 hours, I’ve felt the same—just trudging along in my trusty +15% movement speed boots. It’s been manageable, but yeah, the game definitely feels a bit sluggish. Maybe we’re just conditioned by PoE1 and other ARPGs to expect a faster pace.

I only brought up the +40% movement speed Unique boots—Boots of Gamblesprint—because they were a total game-changer for me. Once I felt that speed boost, I finally got what people meant when they said the game felt slow. Going faster just makes it all feel so much better.

Only downside is that it makes a lot of combat skippable… though honestly, I still want to kill things for xp loot, so that hasn’t really changed much.

To be clear, it’s not a flat +40%—it randomly shifts your movement speed between 0–40% whenever you get hit. But obviously you can purposely take a hit whenever you want to have agency over this.

Honestly, I never want to take these boots off. 😂
BRO!!! You and me BOTH, if POE1 had WASD movement THAT is where I would be.
We aren't conditioned by poe1. Teleport in d2 is what the entire meta centered around.

Don't trick yourself into thinking this is the way, because its not. If you don't like going slow then keep giving that feedback.
i agree bro i wont even start playing bc trials are lame and the endgame is just layers of difficulty on top of boring looking stuff over and over and over . no cool quests, no cool bosses, no grouping or matchmaking

Bro… come on now. You’re telling me you haven’t found a single pair of boots with movement speed AND life? Not one? 😅

Unless you’ve only played like 4 hours total, never looked at a vendor, or have some kind of deep philosophical opposition to crafting, I gotta call a little friendly cap here. I get that people sometimes exaggerate the struggle to make a point or to highlight frustration (been there myself), but this one’s a stretch.

Like, you can literally grab any white boots, slap an orb on it, and start the ol’ rinse-and-roll crafting dance. Add a mod here, augment there, and boom—one of them's bound to land. Or just vendor surf every level-up; they refresh constantly and will eventually hand you a decent pair on a silver platter.

I promise it’s not some legendary unicorn combo—movement speed and life do, in fact, exist in the same universe. 😄

yeah. the reality is people will want to at least spend as little time as possible not in combat. the time spend moving from one mob to another can't be 25% of the gameplay.

if they want slow methodical combat, it has to be tuned very well to where I can participate in such combat without being overwhelmed by enemies, but also not have the next group of enemies so far away that a quarter of my time in-game is spent walking between mobs.

that's a hard ask, really. to find that balance if there is any to be found.

and if combat is going to be slow, the rewards must be amped up quite a bit. either by increasing drop rates, or making what currently drops more "useful", whatever that might look like.

you cant afford to waste exalts on boots if you need to keep your weapon upgraded.

I have found evasion and es bases with good movement speed, both of which take too much int/dex. You cant afford them because you need 500+ str to run giants blood.
have almost 1000 hours in Poe 2 and this 0.2 update has made me finally consider quitting the game entirely. its literally boring now, i get no excitement and its sad.
