How about "cut-scenes" :-)?

I understand ure position on this guys, but they can easily be shut off in the options menu if u dont desire to watch them. And i am talking about when the entire content is finished(if ever)

When u look at diablo 3 them scenes where seriuesly nice(aldo the story was bullcrap on a pile of shit) i can only imagine what GGG would do with a scene, i would love to see the bosses in high detail in a short scene before u encounter them. It's just extra content, and very desireble to tell the story in a liniar fashion.

Atm u have to figure out the storry as u go, i dont mind this, but a scene is like "get out some popcorn" and enjoy the story.

Obviuesly it would require a lot of investment just to "pollish" the game, but just look at those diamond supporter avatar's, clearly GGG has a really dedicated art team/(guy?) i can only imagine what they could produce after all the content is ingame, and they have some "spare" time to get bussy on little gems like what im proposing...

They'd end up looking like this in a few years anyways. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjKne2ALPWE

Hm, i think, most PoE-Player want to fight, not to eat popcorn ;)

For my part: I don´t need and i don´t want any Cut-Scenes.

I vote for an anime based off PoE that they can sell per episode in the shop. Each episode could be a few zones worth of hyper-violent action, with whole episodes devoted to boss fights. This could then be split up into per-class episodes (all Templar all day, for instance) as well as party-themed episodes (Ranger on Witch on Nessa action, perhaps?). This can be even further split into build-based episodes for ultimate variety. Then they can tell the story in a non-obtrusive, maximized-profit fashion.

I vote for this. With no hope that it will ever happen, but I vote for it anyway.

GGG doesnt have the resources to make good cinematic cutscenes, and cutscenes using the in game engine tend to be very bad.

The most I'd expect from PoE in the way of cinematics is drawings coupled with narration.

There are very few developers who can make decent cutscenes and story which makes any sense.

But since casuals recently love cutscenes, every game is loaded with this crap. What is worse, the rest of the game usually is turned into scripted scenes, where player is forced to do some primitive BS and can't make even one step aside. The meaning of the word "gameplay" is almost forgoten

I consider the story is good enough if I can skip this lame "D movies" from the game completely. If I want to see a movie, I go to the nearest cinema

You meant Bastion? Non stop narration was kind of cool and original

the story/cut scenes in DeathSpank were kinda cool. Multiplane animated illustrations with narration etc. It can work if done well, but I agree that GGG dont have the time nor resource to create 3d cinematics.

If they did have money to do some they should get Digic Pictures to do them. those guys are awesomeo
