no more league starters?
" No. It's more like this game punishes players that want to experiment with builds and respec. It's absurdly expensive to respec. Either you have to invest an insane amount of time learning Path of Building and understanding the POE2 damage formula, and experiment that way to find a build, or you have to follow meta builds (which all just got nerfed). Players shouldn't be punished for experimenting, getting stuck with crappy builds that are too expensive to respec. That's the real problem here. People need to stop defending GGG and force them to make respecing FAR cheaper (and changing your ascendancy/passives should be free every time you kill Zarokh in the trial). |

People memeing on this aren't being honest. I, like many, played "whatever I found fun" to start PoE2 at EA launch only to hit Count G and realize I had little if any chance to beat him and rerolling was the only reasonable thing. This isn't fun. It's a complete waste of time.
GGG said they wanted to make more builds viable and then nerfed everything based on the top 5% (at best) proving things could, with perfect gear, erase everything seemingly without thinking how this affects the masses especially at early game. Gem Legion got nerfed to death because of stat stacking, thing is that build uses 4 unique items two of which really need specific corruptions on them. Why worry about an OP build that the top 1% can only achieve? Doing this you also destroy thing from that build that others use in non-meta builds and that's bad. GGG tossed the baby out with the bath water so to speak and I just don't understand it. I'll play, I'll do what I can and hopefully it works and is fun. That said when they don't fix Armor, take away Grim Feast completely and reduce damage basically across the board I have low expectations. |

" To respect the first 25-30 levels (and that is what you going to do on the first day or so before a guide appears) costs almost nothing. Is much faster to make that money than re roll. |

" Then complain that respect cost too much.. this is a much more reasonable request than the original post take. I agree during this EA respec shoudl be at least halved in cost. |

" The meta is defined by what works, not by someone inventing 1 build that gets coppied en masse. Yes, some people just follow guides. But it didn't take a sevant to look at spark and archmage and think "build done" Or at howa/pillar and think "stack.. stats.' The reason armour/life got weeded out of the meta was because ES/EV were just way better. that was occuring even before Krips video about armour/dmg conversion. "Beidat honored the pact, though Mancy wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."

" Idk maybe im arguing a stupid point but league starter videos are always super popular and those guides (from reputable builders) are always super popular at league start including all the same uniques and jewels and stat priorites. could you have come up with the exact same build on your own? of course you couldve but anyone could also just say they did and followed no guide idk. Also alot of times what "works" molds itself as people see clips and shorts of builds absolutely destroying content then go "how does that work" and either look at a guide to understand whats "broken" about it then copy or make a new character trying to do the same thing. Also my point did not have anything to do with people not being able to make their own builds and have a good time just that the % of people using guides is probably the majority of players, but neither of us can absolutely know if our side of the argument is correct. |

" This is just straight up wrong. It's extremely easy to respec, I did it a hundred times just messing with every quarterstaff skill mix I could think of. And the fact that you don't have to chrome for colors, or jewelers for sockets on all your gear, AND that you can just change attributes on your tree, it's the EASIEST it's ever been to experiment and change your character in the entire history of path of exile. |
