**The Only Hope of Casual Players Is...**

Regarding build diversity, you could tell after 1 week of gameplay that Poe2 is limited by game design choices. It is intended and meant to be simpler.

Went back to Poe1, started private league with a few friends to relive Settlers withouth trade. Completely forgot how good it feels to create interesting builds and make impactfull decisions to my character via crafting, passive points etc.

Another level of fun with guaranteed longevity due to the incredible complexity it has to offer.

Crazy how boring Poe2 is by design in comparison.

Yes. This.

honey I was (maybe am) hardcore MMORPG player, but the state of POE 2 is beyond rational....

real builds to have fun and run the endgame are approaching to mirror in price

Right now, divines are much more cheaper.

(The bots are doing good job)

The average cost was 4$ at some point. Now they are closer to 0.4$.

Tell me man, who, in his right mind will spend 1000 hours farming divines, instead of taking a 8 hours shift, and just buying them?

Explain to me, please.

I want to hear.

IMO RMT'ing to blast NPCs in a single player game is way more insane than just liking the game and grinding for hundreds of hours for shiny pixels that will be "reset" after 3 months.

To make it clear, both are completely insane to me.

Can you show me your 40 div build that wreck end-game?

I have the feeling that you lie about this...

Just play meta builds. Less than 1div you'll be running juiced T15+ maps with no problem.

I was running a home-cooked elemental monk with 20-25exs and cleared T15's without problem. Later into mapping I adapted part of my passives based off of Mathil's Lightsabre monk (https://maxroll.gg/poe2/planner/w74as0zj) because I was too lazy to Ctrl+F which defensive nodes were good.

I'm talking about the state of the game about 3 weeks ago though. No clue how's the economy now.

🔥 **Endgame is a Massive Wall for Casuals**
The difficulty spike in PoE 2's endgame is absurd. If you’re not playing at least 8 hours a day, you’re simply not making meaningful progress. The game seems balanced around no-lifers and streamers, leaving casual players in the dust. GGG has completely ignored the reality that many players have jobs, families, and other commitments.

It really isn't, the issue as certain people see it is that "For the X amount of time I am willing to invest in this game, I expect Y" and when X and Y don't align with their ideals, they get upset.

I have a job, family, and other commitments, I play *less* than an hour a day on average (sometimes 2 whole hours at the weekend!) and I'm running T15 maps with a little bit of pushback but I know where my character's limits are and play within them, what are you doing that causes you to not get anywhere in endgame? What are you defining endgame as exactly?

(admittedly, I did play a bit more over christmas but the majority of that was the campaign)

My build cost me about 3 divines (I know this because I only ever found 2 divines and I spent 1 on a ring and 1 on a weapon), the rest I cobbled together in the 20-30 exalt range. I could technically get upgrades still in the exalt market but I've kind of topped out until the reset now.

What does casual even mean, it's nebulous

The build you post is accessible and indeed cheap.
Do you know how I know? ... yes man, we all have Invokers.

I will tell you something else... This you have doesn't scale into end at all.

Gemling attribute stacker with caged god staff has quadruple the clear speed of this.

So you will have to reroll into some point, and the basic att gear will be 60 divines.

I am ready to argue about the jewelry prices, because they seem a bit off.

But yes, basic attribute stacker is around 60 divines.

is history of my trades accessible somewhere? i would be happy to provide if its possible, the unset ring was 2d the breach 4d amulet 2 and iirc i spent 2 for the distilled emotions i did not had

one thing though while doing all that, at no point i had capped resists i just done them yesterday with sekhema gems (that was 18 a pop /vomit) and i STILL rock 0 chaos res. never felt like its holding me back.

I will take your word for it.

After all this work you pull to post it, I do not think even for a second, that you are not speaking the truth.

thats nonsense.

people are doing everything in the game in ssf hardcore.

what you are saying is so far from reality.

the fomo build that you want to play because its the super duper best thing ever with the gg gears that looks totally pog champ and you really really really want those items and that build might cost a mirror.

no one needs that build to do anything. if people want that build they need to fix up, get good and achieve it. if people cant afford it then its not for them.

thats how this game works, people dont get the gg op things just for showing up. you want the best you better be the best, you want the top 1% gear you need to be a top 1% player. this isnt some participation medal equality exercise blizzard game. this is wraeclast, eat or be eaten.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
