Elemental Explosion modifiers cause Minions to explode on death

You may read that title and think that this is already going to be resolved, that GGG already said they fixed it with the next update. That may not necessarily be the case.

In the 0.1.1 patch preview video, what was said was specifically "In addition, elemental explosion effects have had visibility improved, stick around for longer before they explode, and disappear without exploding if a rare monster dies."

That last bit sounds great, but this is actually already partially the case.

There's two types of elemental explosion modifiers: "Periodically Unleashes Ice" and "Periodic Cold Explosions". The former causes an explosion that is centered on the monster while the latter causes several elemental explosions to be placed nearby.

With the former type, in both Magic and Rare monsters, the explosion does not go off after death. With the latter type, which I've only seen on Rare monsters, the explosion does go off after death.

Regardless of which type of elemental explosion they have, Rare monsters will grant all of their Minions on-death explosions, despite the Minions not having such a modifier attached to them. What's more, these explosions can sometimes be hidden by shattering the Minions.

Here is a short video, less than 2 minutes, of examples of exactly what I've just said.

Also, on a completely unrelated note, the blood waves in ritual can sometimes force your character into a T-posing state.
