Another Rarity thread ^^

So, with more and more evidence coupled with data are being made, I just had to ask, where are the people saying "MF ruined the economy"? Where are your data that "MF ruined the economy"?

Please note that I am not asking nor starting a debate. I am just really curious what led them to claim "MF ruined the economy" and where is their data.

Streamers playing broken twitch builds, stacked MF, having gear worth 300-700 divines, compared to players who do not play twitch builds, who cant afford to get magic find on their gear because they cant afford to lose valuable stats, farming same tier maps, and not getting anything.

I trust what i see , and all i see on twitch is people playing broken builds, who have a lot of MF , who get explosion of currency/unique items every map they run.

On top of that , most streamers (not just any streamer , but those who have knowlegde about ARPG games) saying MF is broken , ruining the economy etc...

I get no explosions of any kind in my maps. Actually, today was the first time i got Divine to drop, at 370 hours. My total acc value is 6 divines , after 370 hours. Playing 8-10 hours a day.

You didn't answer my question. Where is your data? Link who's "these" streamers? Link a clip of their "Explosion of currency/unique item". "I trust what I see" isn't proof nor mean anything relevant to the topic. This thread isn't about "you". Next time you reply on someone else's thread, please answer the question proficiently.

Fubgun and Empy have both come out and said rarity itself isnt that strong.
Two of the top MFers. THere is evidence that you can SEE that says rarity isnt that strong. So how are you going to sit there and just declare yourself right

Would like to add the to this that Snoobae85, also said and I quote,
" 2:21 this is big news to me if true. I had already been quant stacking precursors if nothing else because you can't stack quantity very high on map rolls, but can stack rarity. I was prioritizing all three rolls, but favoring rarity and on map rolls with paranoia anoints. I noticed a huge increase in currency drops when the Precursor procs from ~100% to 200%+ quantity. But I can't recall noticing a huge difference between ~100% and 300% rarity on maps. So, thanks for the insight."

2:21 refers to a timestamp in Fubgun's vid.

Scroll on the comments.

Take note that player rarity is MULTIPLICATIVE with map and tablet rarity and not ADDITIVE. This was very clearly presented with the 1st video on this post by negative rarity test.

I've been asking these people since the 1st thread I made, "If rarity stats was so OP, why do you still get next to nothing on poorly rolled maps most of the time?" And none of these people answered.

I'm really genuinely curious as to why are they so confident about "MF ruining the economy" or "Remove MF" take.

I'm really surprised that up until this point that no one has really pointed out and scrutinize what I think is the root cause of the problem being loot distribution. This is tied to rarity but an entirely different discussion.

Because at this point they want it gone out of principle.
no ammount of data will get them to concede, they'll just move the goal posts and solider on.
Its all vibes based

dude, MF is capped, what are you talking about? You can roll cap MF in a waystone...

Did you watch a video of a streamer dropping a stack of 10 divines? ... in PoE 1? ... Years ago?

actuall what you see is quantity ... not rarrity ... :) there's a diffrence.. now you can stack 150+ quantity from tablets , you get 100% more quantity for currency / party member (500%) and you can run quantity on maps also 100% too ... all that combined indeed is causing loot explosions ... because it`s multiplicative !!i`m not saying that there's no rarrity ... but the explosion of loot is not comming from rarrity !!
Quantity desperately needs some more diminishing returns applied to it to cancel out those crazy 0.01% parties doing crazy farming shit that breaks league markets.

Quantity is definitely a bigger problem then rarity. They are getting confused and mixed together by people a lot since for some reason item rarity has a ton of weird effects in PoE2 EA that it didn't in PoE1.
