Deleted Equipped Items / Items disappeared

I haven't played PoE for a while (a week or two), but when I logged back in with my witch, I saw all of her skills were gone, opened the inventory, and all of the equipped items (and the gems they held) were gone (not the alternative weapons though nor the bottles). I checked my other characters (three others) and two of them were exactly like the witch (though my HC witch had her belt), but my Shadow character was perfectly fine (he had all his equipped items).

The items (weapons, armor, shields, rings, and necklaces) in my inventory were also deleted, but all of my gems and currency items, and some extra bottles were still there.

I know the staff of PoE has a commitment to not replacing items, but I'm curious if anyone has had a similar issue (I've seen people have had an item or two be deleted but I couldn't find someone who had most of the equipped items deleted).

I'm annoyed that I'll have to go find some of the gems again.

Lost The first unique ive ever got not buying it from someone 3 days ago and I was vendoring two alterations for a jewlers to try and change the skts and when i went to use the orb my unique as well as my 403 armor chest as well that i was going to try and craft.. and I still havent got an answer on wtf happened and yes dont hold your breath on getting anything back even if you have donated all your time and id say i have donated at least 100 dollars to the game to make it better in the past few months..

In my experience looks like goldsellers robbery.
You're shure you didn't give anyone your password, not registered on any suspicious site, didn't try to download cheats or buy powerlevelling/orbs from someone via internet?

In my case no and when I lost my unique i was in game and saw it disapear i used a jewlers orb to turn my white chest into more than one slot and when i right click the orb my chest and helm vanished at the same time. which leads me to believe its a bug in my case. i reported the bug took a screen shot and posted it on the forum three days ago no response from players or from staff to figure out the issue. The sucky thing is yes the items are mostly garbage to most and i know that but i dont party i solo and i am a shadow so i use items with magic and quantity to produce more items to produce me more currency to afford decent yellows. To take three months of play to get a unique without buying it from someone who i dont know just so the whole hacking thing dont happen to me just bums me out. Oh well mabey it will happen to someone else and they will figure it out.

I was thinking about the goldsellers too (even though I haven't revealed my password to anyone nor tried to hack the game or anything -- I prefer to beat the game with my own work), except that I had some fairly decent gems that are still in my inventory (I should also include that one of my characters was level 12 and had pretty crappy gear but that was gone as well).

I'm also more of a soloist and tend to over-rely on skills (witch - summoner, HC witch - spark, Ranger - poison archer, Shadow - cold damage with claws), so the gear isn't much of a concern as the skill gems that they had.

Good to know (yet still highly unfortunate) that someone else also got the bug and hopefully they eventually fix it before the game is out of beta.

Someone logged in and took them.

The same thing happened to me. Last night I was playing - this morning all of my chars that I've checked are missing their gear. There's a ton of equipment missing from my stash most of which was pathetic and not worth dealing with if it was a hack lol - and there were potions in there I didn't have there...yet rings and amulets still remain in the stash and all my gems. I don't see how someone could have gotten my password though. So still wondering if it's a glitch somehow.

Either way, very disappointing that the staff can't or won't roll back the account.

yep just logged in after a month or 2 of inactivity and missing alot of uniques and currency looks like i got hacked but i still have random valuebles.

After 3 weeks or so of inactivity, all of my stuff was gone, mind you I'am in Act 1 Cruel, which means most of my stuff was pretty bad, but all of it was gone! Even the gems socketed, everything except for low value currency and flasks, along with all the skill gems in my stash, I really wish they can roll back my account, since I've never given my password to anyone nor have I tried to visit illegal 3rd party sites for items or such, and even my password was changed, so I do believe it was hacked, and I just spent days redownloading it too with my bad net.
(I hope I'am not necroing on my first post but, I really want to know.)

Same goes for me, I havn't played in like months and all my equiped and stored items where lost, including on my level 3 char... This is what makes me think this is not a hack but a bug. I still have my stored skill gems and some scrolls, my potions and my equiped jewels.

I would frankly like to know if this is a bug and if there is something to do about it? I unsderstand that the game is still being updated and all, but loosing evrything kinda ruins the fun here.

And I also spawn in act 1 for some reason...
