Whoever designed the freeze mechanic absolutely messed up
It's really dumb that no matter what I do to my defenses that just 1 frozen orb from a cultist can kill me, that I can't touch any strongbox that has anything to do with ice, and what should be the best shrine for CCing enemies has a better chance of getting me killed than it does killing the enemy because it likes to freeze you before you can click it.
Do you expect us to sacrifice our passives of damage and defense to spec into freeze threshold? I can tell you that just 1 node isn't enough. Might as well just make freeze threshhold the starting nodes if you wanna force us into having it.... Freeze without flasks is lame.... Thawing charm? Seems to work well for my monk.

" Whenever i open a strongbox that freezes me then the freeze ends b4 the mobs have spawned. Also thawing charm. If your being frozen by 1 spell then your resistances or defenses are too low for the content your doing | |
" I'm not saying I'm dying each time I come across a cold damage pack because it freezes me... I'm saying the freeze mechanic is too powerful with not enough mitigation available, especially if there's nothing to manually break from it when you become frozen. Charms go off on their own, not necessarily when you need them. Also I didn't say freeze on opening a strongbox, I said ice. Like ice spikes. Is it survivable? Anything is survivable if you have the patience. I don't want to have to kite something that already sucks to interact with. Then finally I said it doesn't matter what my defenses are. Meaning I've stacked resistances and ES. Of course I've used a thawing charm, and it doesn't matter what your freeze threshold is, 1 frozen orb can freeze anyone if they get caught off guard by it and take the whole thing. The only exception is when stacking evasion which is only viable for so many builds, but evasion is just OP Last edited by MistaRandeag#1594 on Dec 26, 2024, 10:54:34 PM
