Towers are pointless .

Right now there is no point to doing the tower maps .
or investing in them . ( i just use tier 1 waystones on them)

you use towers to buff other maps , so its pointless to invest in the tower itself.

there is never a boss in tower maps.

there is always less rare mobs in them compared to normal maps.

they are smaller so xp is also not good.

it has those instant freeze shades that cast their nonsense
behind walls and before you enter a room so you cant even see it.

put a special tower boss in each tower or remove the need to run the map.

something , anything , its boring and pointless .

There is no way it isn't changed before launch, it makes no sense in it's current implimentation.
You get like 50% of your loot or from rares, as far as I can tell around the same amount spawn in towers. It's not really that bad.

Id rather run endless towers than augurs thats for sure.

I also play minions right now, so towers are especially awful.

Towers also have a point in that they clear up fog, so if you are looking for a citidel and havent found one by level 92 like me you can cope and tell yourself you will find one this time!

Also towers put a lot of league mechanics in maps, not interacting with them is hurting a lot, especially when stuff like breach almost doubles the loot in your map if you can run it well.

how is clearing fog and adding league mechanics to nodes pointless? On top of the modifiers from affixs etc.? Or the fact to get lvl 82 zone to drop lvl 20 skill gems which are 3div right now using towers is mandatory for irradiating a corrupted node so t16 gets area level 82?
towers are boring, i agree. remove the need to run towers, make them a reward for reaching them. or make them a random tower guardian bossfight.

I have to agree.

At low map levels I used them to get easy completions for atlas passives, but now it's just "insert low waystone so u don't waste a good one" and then run through to the activation thing.

They should be improved or changed completely.

Today I had one Tower that had some strange 100% increased experience, but 62% reduced quantity of items dropped. I have no idea where that affix came from, but at least it made running the node a little bit more worth it for the XP.
