Request: Barebones graphical options for less beefy machines.

As title says. I would love to play this game, and do not regret pre-purchasing it right now, even though I cannot play it very well, because I strongly believe that GGG will do us justice with this game, and everything I've heard confirms this.

However, it is clear that my current computer is simply not up to the task. It plays it, but... very poorly.
Although I will likely be getting a new computer soon, I would rather be playing this game sooner, and others may not be as fortunate as myself.

So, is it possible to make some changes to allow even more barebones graphical options for the... less fortunate exiles?

And steam deck! Drops down to low teen FPS.

Even on a higher end pc, for the sake of visual clarity there needs to be some way of scaling some effects back, or at least in co-op, disabling the effects of other players.

The Steam Deck one is more concerning, because you cannot simply upgrade to a new machine like I can (as soon as I can afford it, *crossing fingers*).

I appreciate your concern but I do also have a nice gaming PC that is good to go. It's just nice to not be in my basement office to game all the time.

Ah, gotcha, yeah.

GGG has refused to let people turn settings down forever I presume for the same insane reason they wont let players move UI elements around. They don't want players to see the game from some other source looking bad or cluttered.

I hate it, everyone hates it. GGG don't care, they need twitch streams to look clean and F your performance.

Performance is more important than most things...

Yea please. I can run D4 and BG3 just fine, but this game grinds to halt on boss fights with too many effects.
