Why would you lock ascendancies behind sanctum knowing melee builds are nearly impossible to do em?
This is so dumb imo. If I could do the ultimatum trial to reach my 3rd ascendancy fine whatever. But making me do sanctum? Talk about shitty design for ascendancies. I fucking hate Sanctum and you force me to play it? This could be the thing that gets me to not play this game. It's just dumb design.

Sanctum was the first one in act 2, right? I couldn't do that one on my warrior at first either. Coming back later is definitely the answer. You don't have to get your ascendancy right away. I just finished up some of the rest of the act. I got a better weapon, maybe like 7-10 more levels and brought 2 fire resist rings and totally stomped the boss barely taking any damage. It was literally a joke compared to when I went in originally. So just adjust your play to deal with the content. There's plenty of stuff that's easier for melee compared to ranged, so it balances out overall I feel.

Ya..the first one was a cake walk. I'm talking about the second one where you have to do 3 lvls and if you get hit you get chunked for 500 honour. This is clearly not talking about the first ascendancy.

At the VERY least they should allow you to do your 3rd ascendancy on the Ultimatum trial. Forcing a mechanic that is damn near impossible (again..not talking about making it through one trial on the first one..that shit was a joke) for a melee character is bad design.

You can easily overlevel 1st trials. So it's not like you're being denied ascension.
