Weapon Set - Keep Shield

Hi,

I think it would be cool to keep the same shield in both weapon sets, if you are using a shield.

Having two times the exact same shield if you just want to switch you main hand weapon feels a bit weird.

I have a monk that uses a 2H quarterstaff in weapon set 1 and tries a shield in weapon set 2. But, even with the quarterstaff, I wanted some skills to use it with one passive tree that focuses on cold/freeze while some other skills to use it with the 2nd passive tree that focuses on lightning/shock so I was going to suggest separating the 2 alternating passive trees from the actual weapon sets.

My suggestion is that we have 2 weapon sets and 2 passive trees but they are not connected, only skills are set to choose which weapon set and which passive tree to use. That way, cold skills would use weapon set 1 and passive tree 1 while lightning skills would use weapon set 1 and passive tree 2. Meanwhile, the shield skill would use weapon set 2 with no special passive tree bonuses.

A crazier suggestion is to allow more than 2 weapon sets and 2 passive trees to be used by different skills. But, that seems to allow changing the character at any time into any build limited only by the ascendancy and the number of skill slots which will remove most of the identity of the build.

If that is too complicated or insensible, then I would suggest the same as OP that specific gear can be used in the two weapon sets. So in my case, I can use the same quarterstaff in the 2 weapon sets - giving up the shield - so that it can be used by both cold and lightning skills while each have their own focused passive trees.

YES THIS please. It's nuts that you can't equip a one-handed item in both weapon sets. If you can swap out TWO items, surely you can just swap out ONE item.

Simple check box "keep in both sets" could aply to all stuff not only a shield.

Please, keep in mind that some gear can be in main hand in one weapon set and in off-hand in another weapon set like dual wielded one handed weapons and sceptres.
