Grim Tangle Crashes Game

I now have 2 characters I can't progress because the Grim Tangle crashes the game every time i approach what appears to be a boss area? How do i progress past this?

I am also having the same issue and have been forced to restart my character multiple times already. Now, I can't progress this quest as every time I enter "The Grim Tangle" my game crashes and I can't resume play from another location.
