POE2 Steam Early Access Pre-Download

My friend bought the early access on steam, and is wondering whether or not there will be a pre-download at all on there i saw on a tweet that it will be predownloadable through the poe client. If not will he still be able to download the launcher and play on the client if he bought his early access on steam?

theyre still working on preDL for PC, standalone and steam.
