Anyone know how this interacts with banners?

Do these gloves make the reduced crit mod not apply to nearby enemies from defiance banner if you have someone linked? Or does the line on these gloves simply mean that this aura will only apply its effects to nearby enemies around the linker and the person being linked?

Non-Curse Auras from your Skills only apply to you and Linked Targets

If it works how I think then this is a nerf for banner skills when using these gloves but I just want to make sure
