NEXT PATCH MELEE BUFF

Based logic and W patch.

Melee is a third of the content making up one of 3 archetypes in the game and only potentially affected 33% of the user base. Whereas these end game changes needed to happen and they will affect everybody.

Considering the development constraints it was the right call.

Going by the reasoning for this recent patch. The next overarching issue is melee and the passive tree heatmap which shows that a quarter of the tree is being massively underused. So naturally going by the reasoning for the direction of this recent patch only seems natural that melee gets love next.

Uhm... is... Is this Melee fan fic or did I miss some really exciting part of the patchnotes? Or is this biting sarcasm? Maybe you've been left out in the dry dry melee desert for too long and stumbled into delirium mirror?

Either way I'm with you melee brother melee needs help, if it just happened and I missed it then sweet. If you're being acerbic I am also with you.

I think the most mess up statement about this is that I am sitting here hoping they released some teaser about missing Melee Transfigured gems and buffs to bleed and ignite, life, bloodmagic, warcries, that stupid fucking obligatory melee totem(s)

Hey Neon remember how you talked about choices that don't feel optional in the Q&A? Yeah Melee totems are that.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years.

The 2 most popular melee skills (Boneshatter and Molten Strike) sit at a combined 5% usage on the ladder. How "surprising" to see that the part of the passive tree commonly used for melee builds is "underutilized" hoho

There's no need to complain ; Cleave got a huge buff and Detonate Dead was massively nerfed.

Oh wait...
Affliction and Necropolis worst leagues ever. The current game design has slowly turned this game into a loot-shower fest, chase uniques are way too available; and obtaining chase items through stacked decks and valdo's boxes simply isn't fun.
Melee is fine as long as you don't play it.


The buffs are coming...just like the eagles...just wait a few more years or wait for POE2 where melee should be fine...hopefully...

HAH Jokes ON THEM then because I no longer bother with fortify due to how bad its up time is for most of the stuff I care about.

Just what melee needed inconsistent defenses that fall off easier when you have to move more or fight targets with more defense that generate less stacks.

One more for the colossal pile of mechanical disadvantages that GGG gave the style while scratching their head wondering why everyone wants it "fixed" for 10 years.

when the undertaker comes instead of taking the dead monster he will take your melee char and leave it where it belongs XD

jokes aside baking the totems buffs and fortify into melee skills is something that should have been done years ago.
