Synchronized Random Elements?

There are a number of effects that add damage of a random element to attacks, usually as "gained as extra" modifier. I may be totally making this up, but I swear I remember reading somewhere that skills with the Prismatic tag will always choose the same element if used together, ie Elemental Hit supported by Prismatic Burst.

I wanted to ask if other effects which are similar but that do not explicitly come from a skill are also kept in sync. I think an example might be the best way to convey what I'm talking about.

Let's say I make an attack with 2 different sources of random element damage:

* Elemental Hit
* Voidforge

Let's also assume that I'm not using any Combat Focus jewels, and that each element has an equal chance to be chosen.

Would these 3 different sources automatically be kept in sync, such that they will always choose the same element?

Elemental Hit explicitly states
"

[the attack] will only be able to deal damage of [the chosen] element.


Would the "Gain 700% of Weapon Physical Damage as Extra Damage of a random Element" from Voidforge therefore apply with every hit, or would it only have a 1/9 chance of dealing damage?

No, element choosing effects are unsynchronized.

I mean you really could read it somewhere but that is not true. The only rule is that prismatic skills can't pick the same element twice in row.
