GGG please do one thing for us STD players. ONE THING

to all you temp league andy's just stop reading or even bothering to comment. all i post here does not affect temp leagues so it will not take away any of your enjoyment of the game. i do enjoy temp leagues somewhat and my suggestions here does nothing to change temp leagues. i wrote that because i respect your time and hope to reduce the amount of negative comments that shit on std players/what they enjoy preemptively. now thats out of the way.

i know we are now the minority and i know meta shakes up and balancing are inevitable.

i know that all the changes you guys make are what you guys believe is best for the game and i respect that.

i think i can say without doubt that STD players want one main thing. which is permanency.

i m actually very interested with the new transfigured gems, but as a standard player me and many standard andy's farmed and bought many alt quality gems. making them change back to regular gems really shows you guys really dont care about standard.

we already lost tons of value when you made the divine/exalt switch. i spent thousands of alterations rolling watchstones and many divines buying watchstones. all that gone too.

but at the very least the watchstone wipeout didnt make my character weaker.

once the new patch goes on, i shudder to think how much power i will lose from the loss of the alternate qualities. a lot of us had meticulously tweaked our gems and builds like a jigsaw puzzle to make them optimized and work the way they do. once this patch drops.... some builds lose out a HUGE LOT.

so this hits us both in our time and investment as well as our ENJOYMENT.

can you please remember how POE first started.

there were no leagues. ARPGs were ALL standard leagues. POE started with standard.

we were your main supporters. POE would not have taken off without the early adopters. one selling point that GGG told us back in the day was that we could get benefit for having items preserved the way they were. hence LEGACY rolls. you even had one entire temp league called LEGACY.

i m guessing that alternate quality gems would take up more of your item database, but totally wiping them out for the sake of temp league balancing is such a slap to the face of a std enjoyer.

i get that moving forward, the new gems would be absolutely better in the long run. we do not know the full details at this point but the fact is this.

even if the newer gems are STRONGER, std andys get nothing for their past investments. its a PURE loss.

when did this become a thing? when did GGG just decide that STD no longer is important? i'm trying so hard to come back to POE and your direction is just pushing me away.

i am a std andy. everytime i play temp leagues i do so to enrich my std character. its bad enough that my wealth cannot transfer over to poe2. now i cant even trust that my in game equipment will still be there after a year or 2 passes.

so much for your "making a game to be played forever" philosophy huh?

am i salty? salty AF. i m hyped for the new league, yes i am too.

if you dont want to balance the game around std and it takes too much time. simply dont. focus instead on balancing the game around temp leagues. if you need to rebalance the passive tree, do it. but just dont simply go around changing our items like this.

poe came from standard. respect the legacy

I'm not a standard player. But I support this 100%. It's not right to just wipe all those alt gems from standard.
