My biggest gripe with Infernal Blow

I have seen this a lot while researching options for the infernal blow build I am trying to make. Quite a few people from what I've seen don't see why Multistrike Support should not work with the debuff from infernal blow. It makes a lot of things painful to get working with it and unfortunately ends up nerfing the skill. I agree entirely. I can understand that there are some things that would be a little broken to have proc on every hit, but for a skill that is meant to revole around exactly that, making it mechanically limp by proccing it's debuff only once every 3 hits(every 4 hits with Awakened Multistrike) just nerfs an already struggling skill completely into the ground, making it something not many people would ever want to play.

Faster Attacks at level 1 is more dps on Infernal Blow than an Awakened Multistrike at level 6. That just shouldn't be a thing.

I can understand Trauma not stacking on every hit of Multistrike, coz that would be quite strong and open up really intense power creep for a lot of melee skills. It's just incredibly frustrating losing the quality of life that multistrike brings to the table due to the fact that you lose a MASSIVE chunk of dps. To top it all off, taking faster attacks over it makes trauma ramp too fast for anything other than a jug to ramp infernal blow which leave absolutely no middle ground.

Learning this knocked the wind out of my sails on a build I honestly was excited to try and make happen. Please change this interaction, GGG.

Hell, even a touch-up on Infernal Blow's mechanics could come with the change and maybe allow for the introduction of Vaal Infernal Blow?

I would honestly be incredibly thrilled to see this change happen.

Anything that enhances melee skills is a can of worms and a college entrance essay if complexity.

A lot if things just don't work the way they should.

Meanwhile traps, totems, minions, and spells just let everything work, unless it is a brand.

Not at all where I thought this thread was going from the title, but great points OP.

Personally, I'd say the biggest problem with IB is the garbage uneven animations they use for strike melee now. I even started this league on IB and it was pretty good, but after a couple days I had to change skills because that clunky ass combo stuff just wasn't fun to play.
You seem to have made a mistake, you posted about a melee skill and everyone knows GGG doesn't give a shit about melee.
