Map Device slot doesn't apply scarab

I unlocked the fifth slot on my map device a few leagues ago, so I have been keeping scarabs and/or sacrifice fragments in the free slots (completely filled). Recently I have noticed that the bottom left slot has not applied its fragment to my maps. Whatever scarab I put in there gets used, but the content it's supposed to apply to the map doesn't show up, so I've burned through at least one stack. I even swapped scarabs from another slot, and noticed the new scarab's content not showing up either. Unfortunately, I don't have any way of showing this issue without making a full video, which I cannot do currently.
