GGG - PLEASE Hold off On the Divine Orb / Exalt Switch until Next league, here's why -
First off, I don't think you guys thought this through. I'm reading tons of comments on youtube and some on reddit and many are mentioning the problems below.. #1 Since Divine Orbs have no shards, it's now going to make Harbingers not attractive to run at all, since most of the attraction was the Harbinger Bosses that dropped frequent Exalted Shards. #2 Div Card farming is no longer viable since many farm Div Cards for the Exalted Orb Div Cards, which are now going to be total trash and with the nerf to headhunter, the appeal of stacked decks/divination cards already took a big hit..... #3 Because stacked decks are such a big reason players like to play Heist, well now RIP Heist... Basically before you make this change, wait until you add Divine Shards to Harbinger and update the exalted Div Cards to be for Divine Orbs instead so that people actually care about Divination Cards again.. I just don't think you guys understood all of the implications of this when you decided to make this change... There might be other problems that I haven't thought about, but these are the main ones....You have to understand that these things are what many players use to build up their currency base so that they can afford better gear etc... It's definitely concerning. There are currently three sources of Divine Orbs in the game (vendor recipe, Sephirot divination card, and tier-2 random drops) for two uses: rerolling values on items and certain rare crafts. The rare crafts are likely to be changed to exalts, whereas the metamods will be changed to divines and the vendor recipe removed.
So we have massively less supply of Divine Orbs now (since it was easy to target farm Divines via farming corrupted 6-link drops in juiced map content) with a massive increase in demand (Metamod crafting is an essential tool in a LOT of good crafts - almost no crafts exclude metamod crafting, since rerolling only prefix/suffix means you don't need to perfectly roll 6 mods, but only 3 at a time). The methods of farming for Divine Orbs are worse now, as well: the only sources of the Sephirot divination card are Stacked Decks (at extremely low chance) and the Villa map boss (not even mobs in the Villa map, just the low boss drop rate). So if anyone wants to farm for metamods, you no longer have the options of farming many different Exalted Orb divination cards and Exalt Shards across many different pieces of content - you either farm Villa's boss, or you farm for currency drops and hope. I really like everything else this league, but this change feels worse the more I think about it. |

This change is all in GGGs plan, of making items valuable.
At the moment Divines are stupid easy to farm, and those that do think nothing about quickly throwing 30-50 Divines in to a unique to get it min maxed. Now the value of the currency corresponds with the phase of crafting. Base -> Essence/Delve/Alt spam -> Slam/annul/beastcraft -> Then your last step is always Divining to get it min maxed.... So why is the last step in this whole process, the cheapest and easiest ? With this changes, T1 mirror items will be SO rare and valuable, people will brag about it again in Reddit....and that's GGG goal. "There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Guys not that your points aren't well stated but I think your missing that this was almost certainly their intent, no shards and no cards enforces the restrictions they want.
If they fix the things you are suggesting they may as well just leave it as it is.. so buckle up! |

the point is to increase the value of a rare currency and reduce the value of another rare currency with 10000 acquisition methods.
I feel like all your complaints come down to "can't farm exalts in X" guys you only farm exalts because they are in demand, they won't be in demand you will farm something else. Too many players acting like they are gonna be perma poor, there is a real problem in SSF so I can understand why they are complaining but if you are a regular league player you will farm X instead of Y and do big trades in divines + chaos. Exalts value is relative it always was, in HC we've had exalts cost 1/3rd of SC it doesn't make us all poor lmao. I'm sorry if this drives you to quit but I really think you should give it a go, it looks horrendous but really its just a big shakeup to the established strategies thats all. |

" X to Div orb drop trinkets might make Heist the nr 1 way to farm div orbs. Alternate quality gems will do fine too. Heist will be more popular than before, also because Harb / Boxes are trash now. For div cards, the exalt ones are kind of crap now, but the ones that yield uniques might go up. Might be more fun to turn in stacked decks checking rolls on uniques. Not sure. Did you try turning it off and on again?
